i wonder if that car used a factory style Z bar mechanical clutch linkage or a cable clutch linkage like a 90 Mustang GT?

When I had a Borg Warner 4 speed, it used a z-bar. When I put in the TKO, I went with a cable clutch.

@@skooli2 Thanks for the reply! Do you remember if you had to strengthen the firewall for that cable clutch install?

@@VegasRT500 I didn't. The cable assembly attaches at the very top of the firewall seam, and it's solid.

I’m curious where you are located. I just recently bought a 68 fastback with a 351 and a tremec 5spd, and it could be the exact twin of this one. I’m wondering if this is possibly the actual car I bought. Could you let me know if you still have this car, or if you sold it to someone in the Abilene area? I just want to know some history of this is in fact my car.
