Excellent interpretation of a magical piece! When I admitted to the composer how difficult I was finding learning this 12th klavierstuck, he was quick to simply say “because it is polyphonic”. . It was such a concise remark, but polyphony as a concept was clearly at the heart of his inspiration. In the related opera scene a single character simultaneously becomes singer, trumpeter and dancer like a religious trinity of three personages in one. I understand the piano player of this related piano piece has to embody all of the polyphony from the opera scene, including the amazed onstage jury! On a more commonplace level, piano transcriptions are always about the joy of bringing a larger scale vision onto one instrument and the delight in making it possible at the piano alone.

This music should create sensations whenever played t;he Notturno too are unbelievable! 8 minutes is impossibly enervating,. Asan encore never. One must begin with this :it takes so much.I'd like to see the program and what else was played .This Incredible Sonata.nos.2,3and 4 !!! Are there more?Any piano string Duos ?I can't believe she could do all that -it has to be memorized -even following the score is justa help . Ipossibly taxing score !She better not ever visit anyone house unfamiliar with Sciarrino and do this on their piano. It takes so much nerve, energy and the leaps are impossible. Its Gaspard for our times ! And his neurotichistorical Deleuze and Lyotard revisiting of Gaspard is seemingly impossible. So wonderful to see instrumentalists programming this music ! I must find out what his aesthetics are about -it is certainly right for our times !I'm always astounded by the bravecourage ,feroce and clarity of pianists ,violists, violinists,,vocalists who tackle this guys stuff ..It has to be memorized. Like Boulez it isalways a toyr de force !

Best performance I've heard. Differentiates between the semi/hemi/demisemiquavers instead of just rushing through the whole piece, but still retains the breathless quality of smearing all the quotations into each other. Brilliant!
