The ambulance service is only permitted to travel 20mph above speed limit while on 999 calls this was far to fast and some Bad overtaking, it's a skoda car Aswell

You can drive as fast as needed so long as you don't endanger yourself or members of the public and can justify why you needed to.

Just after the 4 minute mark you hear comms tell him he's running to a chest pains call and she appreciated he was quite a distance from it. Fast driving but if I were having chest pains, I'd sure as well want him coming to me

I don't see any problems with the driving, other than 1:01 a few seconds later you would have hit the refuge island or ended up the wrong way down the dual carrigeway

The background radio comms are known as point to point or P2P in kids speak, the only people that could hear it are the medic driving and the caller. Sepura is just a manufacturer of TETRA radios that will work on that network, they are basically mobile phones that have a PTT function to transmit on a particular talkgroup like a two way radio. Nice bluelight drive I'm expecting this person may of taken Police advanced as I haven't met many Police response drivers who would drive like that :-) And before the usual armchair know-it-alls jump in, a lot of RRV Paramedics are trained to Police advanced because of the speeds the could reach while responding

can't figure out why you jumped off the A46 then back on again as you were heading for south croxton. and the commercial radio? would've thought any extraneous distractions would not be allowed when the task of navigating safely to the destination is priority?

I'M guessing average speed was about 60mph. The drive is 10 mutinies, that's 10 miles distance traveled (obviously) What Ambulance service (NHS) needs to send a paramedic car 10 miles? Dangerous overtake on the right hand side of a car that is signaling right at 1:16 , We hear no coms radio in the background. The camera was adjusted @ 2:12 In the outside lane of a duel carriageway at what seemed like 110 mph? If the passenger adjusted the camera why was the passenger not talking with the driver about the road or other vital matters? We never see the emergency that this car was responding to! My Guess is. THERE WAS NO EMERGENCY! The 2 idiots in the NHS TAX PAYER funded Fast Response Car-Ambulance were just trying to make a good video. IDIOTS.

Chris Marsh Thank you for your reply. I stand corrected on a few matters I brought up. "ill-informed assumptions in your comment" maybe so, that's why I love the youtube comment section where I can learn things on matters I have little knowledge on and make assumptions on and also others may learn from me on matters I do know a fair amount about. Either way thanks for taking time out to explain some of what I questioned.

RE 112 vs 999 run. We can call it whatever we want, a blue light run, 999 response drive, awesome flashy noise driving.. anything. RE colours, in the UK there are no set vehicle base colour regulations.

There's no such thing as a 999 run. The overall naming convention of this in the EU is a 112 run.
