I love watching Oscar Allen play but I almost want him to stay out so it doesn’t alter the forward line and Waterman can go all the way and win the Coleman.

People are overreacting about Sheed way too much. He was average and nothing more. He gave away 2 holding the man frees in the contest to Oliver coz he’s so slow he can’t run with these fast guys like Hutchings could. We don’t need him in the side so once Yeo comes back Sheed needs to be dropped.
@deanbeissel28077 күн бұрын
He did a good job, and I was super surprised by his chase down tackle in the last qtr. I agree he could be dropped to get some confidence in wafl, Edwards and him are the debate imo. Age might be the factor. I think once culley gets fitter he comes in for sheed anyway, they are similar players but culley can take some good grabs.

Last touch should be if someone kicks it, handballs it, runs with ball over... if its smothered, fisted or tackle then a boundary throw in. Its not difficult. It will be interesting to see if between the 50 metre arc is feasible or whether the arc should be closer to goal and have it 40 metres. I know it leads to a shot at goal but it will encourage more longer kicks from defence and less chipping around. Which then can lead to more people stacking up behind the ball... so not always a good outcome in everything.
@BDub20248 күн бұрын
SA had a massive guy in the forward line did you notice. a Mick Nolan Grenville Dietrich type.

I've noticed that the boundary throw ins have been poor recently. Struggling to make distance at times.

Now what are the Freo fans going to chant this match... FREEE-O... If Freo is fair dinkum and not just virtue signalling then they should be telling fans to only chant Wally-up at the match. Fans mightn't like it, but if Freo find it so important that they change their name, then surely they should ask the fans to only chant Wally up in the match. Not difficult.
@BDub20248 күн бұрын
Can we please stop using stupid name like Narrm for Melbourne. Its confusing. Stuffs up the Melbourne brand. Not to mention that they've lost games they should have won under that moniker. The fans behind the goals were chanting Melbourne all match which made a mockery of it. One description says Narrm is some grasslands in the Melbourne CBD area. Good for kangaroo hunting. Then somewhere else it says its from the great dividing range to port Phillip bay. So what's that? most of Victoria. It does nothing at all.

@@fire_titan5735 I think you need to do your research. People moved around where there was food to eat. A totally different culture and way of living. I don't think they were at all confused. Its pretentious and does nothing. Often suburbs and places are already given aboriginal names. Its the same processes that have every place in Wales and Ireland with multiple names and different language signs despite no one talking the language.

Any chance of Brayshaw going to a Melbourne club. Assuming that he will return to Melbourne after retirement wouldn't it make sense to go now? He is mid 20s and he could go to an Essendon Collingwood Carlton Melbourne (all clubs near the top with very strong corporate contacts). He could set himself up with a high paying job, marketability, advertising, speaking engagements etc... If he finishes his career in Perth and then goes to Melbourne, he just won't have the same job opportunities. In Perth you're out of mind and sight. And remember when he retires from footy he has to work for another 30 years. Unless of course he is planning to work at a footy club then its probably not an issue staying at Freo. But is it a concern that he's being played on the wing. Would he be frustrated.
@BDub20248 күн бұрын
The thing is that Elliott Yeo will retire in 3 years and then work for another 30 years in a career. If he is planning to live in Perth long term, then he should really finish his career and start preparing for a career after footy. Getting the corporate contacts, business opportunities, marketing, advertising etc... His brand is really first class in Perth. Why would you leave Eagles and damage it. Its his brand and contacts that will keep the money rolling in for the next 30 years. You go to Adelaide and get opportunities sure. But then again you end up coming back to Perth anyway and yet you're almost starting again to build credibility and re establish contacts.
@BDub20248 күн бұрын
If Reid and Yeo can inspire other guys to go hard at it, then that's the massive advantage. I just hope those guys don't get injured because they're putting their bodies under so much pressure and footy careers can be impacted by a few unlucky injuries. then its giving a second life to the older guys which is so important. Because its those guys with their experience and work ethic that will pass the baton to the next generation of Eagles stars. Remember when Juddy and co started, there was Braun, Cousins and Kerr with amazing work ethics. It creates the environment and lifts others. The Eagles list has many challenges with 11 great players expected to leave in next 3 years through retirement. But through a revitalised side, they're playing with positivity and passion again and its that attitude that will help develop the kids.

Loma didn't fight in the current UKR - RUS conflict as if he did he wouldn't be in the ring now ! And why were you moved to hear the national anthem of UKR who prior to the current conflict was the most corrupt country on the planet, a country that has postpone all elections , imprisoned political opposition , arrested priests , forced people via snatching off the street to fight a War they dont want too and bombed civilians in the Donbas for 8 years ? Cam's passing is tragic and may he RIP, but it had little to no influence on the outcome of the game ! Stick to footy topics and leave Geo politics out if you have no idea !
