well, it’s not exploiting any glitches, this is all within the constraints of the intended behavior of the battle system, but it is using modified save data and manipulating RNG. the likelihood of pulling this off outside of TAS is basically zero, not to mention the basically impossible character stats.

Yep. Either two overflows of 64K or one of 128K. The total damage is around 180,000 in reality.

The mechanics for the actual combo attack are entirely sound, but it's impossible to get an entire party with the necessary skills without cheats (Only one character can become a master of Time Magic per playthrough normally) he then also used tools to input the commands at exactly the right time to guarantee they go off in the right order to combo, which is technically possible without tools, but the odds of getting it naturally are abysmal

Yeah looks like he gave everyone a time magic that lets you stop time and hit the enemy about 6 times but he uses the first move to freeze himself and the enemy then does it to everyone with having the last person unfreeze everyone else but they all keep their extra moves after unfreezing so now they can all hit multiple times at the same turn. The game normally lets you combo moves with eachother but a 5 hit combo would be the max I'm not a expert but just a longtime fan first observing this

The way combos work in game is that each special move has one or more hidden "types" in the game. If one or more of the move's "type" matches a "type" present in another (among other factors), you have a combo. What the TAS does is use the bonus data found in Chocobo Mystery Dungeon to guarantee max stats and all of the moves available in the game, then uses an exploit that ensure the party gets all of their turns off without being interrupted by the enemy.

Still a shame that there wasn't one story to bring all the characters together. Nonetheless it's one of the best I've ever played. Still hope one day for an Alkaiser standalone title.

I remember the feeling. Games had to be made by square and have at least 40 hours of story gameplay. The name square enix doesn't mean anything now.

No because there is no Overdrive spell in SF2 or any of its glitches that would give each character 8 turns. Now you can do some stupid high damage combos using KAMIKAZE. Unlike SF1, SF2 will display six-digit damage.
