Im running the max5 h2 , 1100kv motor on 12s .the only upgrade i did was put a locker in the rear diff and center diff with the stock gears... ive had no trouble with that... only thing ive had trouble with is im twisting the rear drive shafts in 2 ... so far 2 on the right and 1 on the left ... needless to say the stock tires didnt stand a chance lol so i put a set of badlands on and im ballooning those on grass or pavement.. when the rear bites it will actually twist the chassis just like the gbody shuffle.. its pretty insane to run .. love the video!

@RCersAnonymous I haven't had that problem, but that's not to say it won't happen lol ...I put a max6 1100kv in red xmaxx and 8s .. no problems there And my green xmaxx I put the castle mamba combo in it but I've run into a gear problem with it... motor is waaay to far from the pinion gear and I'm afraid if I put to big of a spur gear on the motor I'm just going to strip it ... ohhh and the other 2 systems I'm running vitavon gears and no problem with them

Free wheeling that fast back and fourth is bad to do dont do that without i running on the ground. I ditch those tires there heavy the traxxas belted are great they hold up and dont weight a ton all that inertia is what i love to reduce.

Im happy i got mine new for 800. Any upgrades i did are smart ones only. Esc , and as far as the diffs there is some really beefy stuff out there if one looks correctly.

Need different oil for differential gear The manual recommend between 10k to 100k diff lube that to get better steer on roads. Nice run do

Hit reverse to make it do a front flip and gun the throttle to make it do a back flip. The force of the tires spinning fast makes the car do things in the air! Do you have any RC cars?

I love that self removing body on my Xmaxx. In even a small crash or hard landing the body ejects itself to avoid damage. Plus it saves that 30 seconds at the beginning of the drive so i can waste 20 times as long chasing it around putting it back on constantly.

If you put the roll cage on it, it comes off about 75% less. It might even be better than that.

I didn’t mind the stock electronics on my XMAXX. I had a bearing blow in my stock motor so I went with the hobbywing setup.

The stock motor isn't horrible. The stock esc is. Mine was dead straight out of the box. $1000 rig that I couldn't drive for over 2 weeks had Traxxas been in charge. Amazon delivered a Max 6 next day and I sold the warranty junk on marketplace. Extra plus was I didn't need adapters to avoid Traxxass batteries.

That’s pretty cool that you didn’t have to deal with the stock ESC business from day one. Lol, I’m putting a MAX6 in my brand new Traxxas that is still in the box. I’m not even going to drive it with the stock electronics either. Make sure you’re subscribed for that series 🤣.

You need to smooth the take off. It's too bumpy so by the time it hits the lip of the ramp it's dipping down

I would have to agree, I went really tight on the pinion/spur mesh to keep them from breaking every time I ran it. I have a few ideas to try, make sure your following along for more. Thanks for watching.
