I tried heroin once to see if it was like the morphine they had me on after an operation. The woman was an addict and gave me the dose she was going to give herself. I had just enough time to run from the bathroom to my bedroom as my legs turned to rubber and I fell on my bed and passed out, then woke up and ran into the bathroom to throw up, itching like crazy. Nothing beats the endorphins I was flooded with after being hit by a car, breaking my femur and ankle and having a concussion. I felt warm, heavy and at peace, passed out, then awoke in the hospital after being in a coma for two weeks.

After 11 years of prescribed time release morphine I know why I had never intended to use it. Withdrawals have been eye opening and I am sad that my unit still doesn't work.

Sorry, JamesGoldsmith's wife. 😥 But glad you got to see them in '73(?) in Chicago. I saw them in '72 in Bloomington, MN. Then another 7 times (last time was 2003 in San Jose, CA). I saw them perform this once (or twice?) and was absolutely mesmerized. Most talented, resilient and enduring rock & roll band!

This is the best it will ever get. Sleeping in your car, cheap motels until you make it big. The artist of today will never know what it was like

I was wrapped in the arms of Morpheus ,”God of sleep and Dreams”and the root name of morphine for 12 years. I kicked the addiction and life is not perfect , but much simpler than trying to get well everyday as an addict.

The curse of the world is drug addiction. I have loved the playing of the Stones all of my 76 years but no song touches me deeper than this one. I conside myself fortunate to have avoided opioid addiction but any addiction leads you down a dark road.

You have my condolences❤ death is terrible especially when we're very close with the person, my mother killed herself when she was 46 and I'm 43 so I feel weird feelings and guilt , I wish if she had to go that I would have had time to say what I've wanted to to her instead of her death being so sudden😢 SO THOSE OF YOU THAT DO HAVE FAMILY SQUASH ALL THE BS NONSENSE IF THERE IS ANY AND LEARN TO LOVE AND FORGIVE ✌🏼🫶🏼 at least that's what I've learned

These comments are beautifully written and very touching. I went to visit my dad once in the hospital after heart surgery and he was on a morphine drip. He definitely wasn’t feeling any pain. Even gave me a pressed ham from outside a glass partition. Very out of character for him! However, this is not a rare version. It is on the No Security album.

Lots of Australian families who've lived for generations in the same area can't afford to live there anymore thanks to Albo's policies. He has no idea how hard life is now for people. His mother living in cheap public housing for 65 years isn't struggle.

It's crazy I grew up across the street in the 70s art lives across the street from me with his mom he fought in the Vietnam war you used to sell me weed but the guy was a total junkie I used to watch him hustle everyday for junk this song always reminded me of art

Most cancer patients die from morphine overdose. Me and mum visited our neighbour to pay our respects when his son passed away he had cancer. he bought out a massive bottle of morphine hydrochloride and was constantly says this is what killed My son and I believed it . I think doctors know this happens and it's a way to let the cancer patients go there own way rather then battling through the pain for the same result I would myself Ike to have that option

This timeless classic is owned by Mick Taylor and Charlie Watts. In the original take, (not this take) the strong lyrics are nearly irrelevant because Charlie's drums intertwine with Taylor's masterful lead licks in an unprecedented interaction bouncing off of each other's nuance and dominance driving an indelible grove.
