Thank you so much for this helpful video, I’m learning this for a community orchestra performance in a few months. Do you have any tips for the right hand octave passage in the con Fuco section of the piece? I am able to play the notes without the octave at tempo, but I can find a way to play accurately or quick enough to play the section in octaves, while hopping around the left hand part as well. 2:46 - 3:05 . Thanks and great job, love your energy and keeping up with the orchestra!

Hi, the first tip I can tel you is to keep the tip of the finger very actively, and do not move your wrist too much, just necessary. 2. play all the octaves in the extreme of the key and over the same line, I mean do not play each key in different part. I usually imagine a straight line were to play all the octaves. 3. Play heavy is not good for velocity. You can play bright each note but not have to be heavy. In right hand less thumb and more little finger :)

I've had the same question about this part. Thank you for your tips! I also would like to ask you, which fingerings you use in these measures? It doesn't look like 1-5 all the time?! Besides that, at a higher tempo I struggle with a lot of tension in my right hand, especially in the last two measures of this phrase. Any tips how to be more relaxed? Thank you so much again! I have to perform it in a couple of weeks and this passage is stressing me out...😅

@@davidkuhn2808 Hi, probably the fingering I use for octaves in general is: 5 for whites and 4 for blacks. (Maybe with some exceptions). I’m not worried about legato, But I tried to have the same articulation in all the octaves.

Podría ir mostrando la partitura, tanto del piano como del violín, a medida que avanza, incluyendo los compases donde el violín solista toca "a capella".

It's amazing cause you could interpret this cover like, Carl being the piano and Ellie being the violin... So it will be even sadder when at end, the violin stops and the only instrument that keeps playing all alone is the piano
