brake cleaner wont hurt the rubber btw you need to clean the face of the axle and the dust cover make it spotless all that dirt can cause a micro misbalance in the faces and make a vibration in the front end always clean all that stuff up mirror finish clean. other than that great video. quick and easy.

No need for all that. Just pop up the cover by the hand brake and pop up the cover around the shifter. Pop off the prndl cover plate and replace bulb. 10 minutes tops. Just did it.

Nice video. However be aware that if you live in a climate with snow and ice, where they salt the roads, the rust can be nasty. Removed the 3 bolts and I could not get the bearing off. Penetrating oil, sledge, wheel puller, no luck. Had to abort, reassemble and take it to a shop. They used torches and were able to apply more hitting force on a lift than I could on jack stands. Still took them 3 hours to get both bearings off.

Unfortunately, these things eat wheel bearings. I’ve had to replace my left right rear twice already. And, if your rears go it will cut your power steering thanks a lot GM. I’d like to get my hands around whoever came up with that design for the car. It’s super dangerous and, it’s not even a rear wheel drive car smh 🤦♀️

a very well put together video . . . However, you did not show torque wrench for any of the bolts upon putting everything back together. Do you happen to have the Torque Specs for ALL of the bolts & nuts for the re-asemble process of the job? IF not these spec details are typically noted on the GM website and even sometime in the Owners' Manual. Please remember that properly Torque specs is very important part of the process. Either way, very well put together video, and very clearly laid out. I really enjoyed watching it and I did learn some new ways to complete the process. Congrats on a Good Job well done.

Not just torque specs, how were you able to use such small wrenches to get this done. I did notice you torqued the axle shaft, but no lock tight or torque any other bolts. But a nice informative video.

How many pennies & dimes did you find in there? Mine didn't go out, but I had weird codes from coins shorting stuff out that managed to get into the shifter. Also, I have a white wire with a green stripe on it that's been clipped. It's near the fuses. Got any idea what it does? I think somebody disabled the daytime running lights to save the battery before I bought it.
