I address the exact fallacy you are using: it is not a question of what is optimal, but what is possible. Rogues have countless other abilities they can use at any time. Paladins do not. You cannot reduce base class design to "only what is optimal in a specific setting or at max level." That has nothing to do with my point.

@@OnequietgamerPlays Paladins do have these things as well. Just not when they are playing by themselves. You have hand of freedom, Blessing of protection, blessing of sacrifice. An aura for literally every situation, the best single stun in the game, throwing out a quick heal to a friend to save their life with lay on hands. Paladins 100% have as many tools as rogue has. You are taking a half support class with nobody at all to support and wondering why you can't do anything. lol. You're literally going bottom lane solo with Braum and expecting results.

@@sloppiipapi5648 I can sort of agree, similar to a Bard or support class as seen in other RPGs. Still, there is something major inherently lacking with how Paladins work in a very basic sense. I don't think anyone could dispute it.

The longest single sentence in human history. An hour long sentence. Fuck me. Write a script and respect commas, full stops and general punctuation. Breathe. Read a script at a calm and relaxed pace to give the listener moments to absorb and consider your points. This is just a blurted, ranting mess. I do appreciate that the video doesn't have an intro and it's great that you got to the meat, except that it hit me in the face so hard and fast that I was completely taken back and confused. I don't do drugs, but I am reasonably sure that you were on speed or coke or something when you recorded this. It's almost completely incoherent. I certainly can't watch it. Your speech is so rushed as to sound slurred and incomprehensible. I have no idea what you're even saying.

I don't use scripts. A lot of these are things I've spoken about in the past. It's a stream of consciousness, but pretty clear I'd say.

I might not have said it well, I definitely come across rough. But, I think my point has merit. The one thing I'd reconsider is the audio; In that perhaps the problem with understanding you clearly may have been the microphone? If you're using a headset mic or similar, it might be worth investing in either a Blue Yeti or Rode. For a couple of hundred, you can get studio quality audio. I use a Blue Yeti when I streamed and even in the house that I was living in, it gave a good quality audio.

@@tonybodlovic5825 I don't think it's my microphone, I have been using this one for a while. My style has changed a bit in recent years so perhaps I'm not used to speaking this loudly or quickly, but generally no one seems to mind and I think I've adjusted to it. I am using a Blue Yeti actually.

It is, of course, your choice to create content as you see fit. I would fight for your right to do as much. The point of my critique was not to upset you nor offend you. I was simply giving you feedback. Isn't that kind of the point of a comment section? I was very interested in the title of the video. I wanted to know what you had to say. However, the delivery wasn't great. I don't like large channels that are fronts for corporations.; Whilst pretending to be small, down to Earth productions. So, I favour someone like yourself. I simply wanted to express my opinion on how you might improve.

Ladies and gentleman, your average Paladin players insight right here. He says spamming hamstring and rend in fights are core rotation for warriors. Also this line "There is a certain logic behind that which i cant remember, but my point is paladin suck". Great point

I didn't really say that Rend and Hamstring are part of a core rotation, but at least they are non-cooldown abilities that you have as an option. Also between the stances, there is at least some nuance there. I didn't want to misquote what exactly Blizzard said but it is widely acknowledged Paladins were an unfinished class but the exact system was explained only a few times and I cannot find the exact video.

Paladins do suck in Classic outside of spamming heals and giving buffs. That’s literally the only two things they’re good at and that carried into TBC too.

Hybrid classes that can heal were not meant by the original team to have the ability to dps as a pure dps class. If you get something else, like a heal, then you need to get neutered in some other area for the end result to be somewhat balanced, both pvp and pve. Imagine having the power of a warrior and be able to heal, that would be insane. Which is kind of what happened in wrath and cata. You would see compositions in 3v3 with three classes that could do nice damage and heal so no matter which target you went on and no matter which target you cc'd you would still have a healer in the team. Like a priest, moonkin, shaman. What Blizzard did is they finally caved to the cry babies and whinies out there in order to get revenue. Could they have given paladins Crusader Strike to give them something to do? Sure, they could have, and probably should have, but that is to the extent I am willing to concede on this hybrid ground.

This still has nothing to do with my point. It wouldn't have to be a good ability, Druids for example have insane versatility. Maybe they are a jack of all trades, master of none. But Paladins do not have suboptimal abilities. They simply do not have abilities.

Let’s not try and pretend Paladins were secretly well-designed but were completely held back for RP purposes. The Paladin has some of the worst talent trees in the game and all they really needed was Crusader Strike and it would have turned them around big time. They are very efficient at solo farming a few specific dungeons but Classic isn’t really a solo game.

The reason to spam hamstring is cuz the hit can proc effects and trinckets, such as windfury, hand of justice, crusader (wpn enchant), etc. The crit also refresh your flurry and applies deep wounds (that last thing wasn't relevant in classic, but it is in SoD since deep wounds now stacks, and even if it comes from hamstring, it still does 60% of the weapon dmg).
