The grid heater is an electric element located in the intake manifold that heats the incoming air to aid in cold starts. By warming the air before it enters the combustion chamber, the grid heater helps to ensure smoother starting in cold conditions. This system is different from glow plugs, which heat the fuel directly in other types of diesel engines.

You could be correct on that I believe that particular manual 5.9 is going on 20+ years old 22 years old roughly people are going to want that particular diesel rig for the engine and the manual transmission hard to find. Thank you for the feedback that video was created many years ago. That may be a vehicle that had an engine swap to a 7.3. If my memory serves me correctly, the 73 ended in the first half of 2003 and from the second half of 2003 all the way to 2010 Ford diesels had serious issues with the 6 0 L ending in 2007, into the 6.4 L also problematic continues issue diesel engine that ended in 2010. 2011 - Currently the 6.7 L in my opinion will become the best, or go down as the best diesel engine Ford has ever made. Agreed. When they are on the lot, better to have almost no fuel. For many reasons. Car theft, plus lot insurance are just a couple. But when we sell them, we fill them up for our customers.
