@@TheAestheticEnthusiast yeah man so you wanna pay attention to width and offset of wheels, as well as get familiar with tire size. Check out willtheyfit.com for more info. Thank you! Glad I can help :). As far as lowering goes, the easiest method would be lower springs but it comes with the least adjustability. Definitely do your research and decide if coilovers, bags, or springs are right for you. For reference I have coilovers on this car. If you are in America , BC Racing is a good coilover brand to look at for getting into your build. Moderate price range
@TheAestheticEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
@notaGTI yeah after a bit of research I an thinking about staying stock wheel and tire size just to save my rims from all the potholes up here in the PNW. I would like to figure out what offset will bring the tires a little closer to flush without any poke. As far as lowering im thinking the H&R sport or super sport, (if that is a thing) on bilstien b8 shocks and struts. Ive heard using lowering springs on stock struts can wear them out a lot quicker. Plus if im gonna be up in there I might as well change everything out to save myself from having to do it again when the oem stuff wears out. I need to get on timing belt maintenance before any of that though. Lol

Catch cans can have issues with freezing in the winter. They also can cause excess pressure in the crankcase which can lead to premature leaking of the rear main seal.

hoping this helps with my misfires on all 4 and p0507 code for higher than expected rpm idle. my car is having the rev "hang" issue when coming to a stop in neutral where idles fluctuate. quick question. My normal vacuum on my R is -20. but since having these issues idle vacuum has been like -23. Im guessing since pcv valve controls crankcase pressure into manifold that it must be broken since vacuum is more than normal. I would have thought a boost leak but vacuum would be lower than higher. does my logic make sense?
@notagti90913 жыл бұрын
To be completely honest I am not sure. Sounds like a PCV issue but as far as that extra vacuum I’m not sure if added crank case pressure due to a failing PCV would cause it.

6 years!? Wow that's a long time. I haven't even had mine for a year and planning on doing full turbo back exhaust but maaan they are $$$$. I just want the power and not too loud but idk there isn't anything really like that out there. Was planning on just buying downpipe first and after getting cat back exhaust so I don't have to pay as much at one time. ( Still living at home so don't get to keep all my mola lol) but even if I would do that it's more expensive with shipping. So yeah I wish I could find a nice alternative and if I don't find nothing I'll probably end up buying EBAY downpipe😂👌 yeah if your doing internals for hpfp look into VIS, I heard they're really great but I haven't done it myself so yeah don't blame me if it doesn't meet up to your standards 😅
@notagti90914 жыл бұрын
Hey man! I know it’s wild! I’ve loved every second of this car. I definitely would avoid a full turbo back to be honest. I think buying a downpipe first is a great move, that’s where most of the power gains come from anyways. After that you can always go custom! Otherwise theres lots of aftermarket catback options as well. But yes I would recommend the eBay route if you are trying to save some money!
@Ragged.094 жыл бұрын
First I win. I actually ordered the same downpipe (I think? It was 199 off ebay without any reviews so fits the description lol) so ill have to see how it sounds. From this video I am quite excited for it. The only problem I see is that my exhaust, a neuspeed catback, is a 2.75", the downpipe is 3" so ill have to order a exhaust clamp that fits those. And I just heard you have stage 2 light? Nice! I was literally going to get the same thing. I'd love to hear you review that. Did you have the downpipe without the tune for a bit? If so was it popping without the tune? Keep posting homie!
@notagti90914 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Thanks for the comment. It’s no problem about the catback, just buy a 2.75 in clamp. Usually one end is a little wider than the other and I used my impact gun to tighten her all the way down. No leaks at all. I got mine from NAPA auto parts. I’m definitely going to be doing a review on IE and their tune soon. I did have the downpipe for like 2 weeks without the tune. There were not nearly as many pops when I had it on the stage 1 tune. Definitely sounds a lot better with the tune/pushing more boost!
@Ragged.094 жыл бұрын
