The Slog is a rectangle with 90 degree corners. It's possible with just Shack Foundation (43) (Concrete block) and Shack Wall (60) (vertical slats) to build a very clean and unbroken stockade fence along the perimeter with towers. I never use gates anymore though, I always leave a single block opening in a wall and make it into a kill zone with a lot of turrets. Since nothing will go over and/or break down the walls, and the only access is that opening you actually don't need corner towers and turrets on those towers if you don't want to, just in the kill zone. It would be different if the game had deformable terrain where enemies and/or large creatures could actually break down a wall.

I really need to build there love this kind of camp, I have been building in the valley for the most part recently but I guess it's time to build something "back home" again, that way I'll also have a camp that won't be destroyed by lightning all the time hurray

I don't need walls. I use missile turrets way up high one on each corner and a machine gun turret all the way around the chain link fence spaced about ten feet apart. Nice work though

I for one hate Hangman's Alley, every time I am there is't like it doesn't want me to build anything good. You have done a good job mate, but only thing Hangman's Alley is good for is getting settlers and sending them to other places.

I always make it into a watchtower. It being at the far edge of the map and looking out onto a wide open area makes it really great for snipers. It has no value for farming or as a home so I always make it into a Minutemen outpost.

Would love to see you do a modded version too that’s fancy and looks new maybe if sanctuary hills?

I've spent well over a hundred hours since release trying to come up with a good build for the Slog. It's nice to see something like yours that does the place justice. Now, if you would please either blueprint this for Transfer Settlements or figure a way to import it into Sim Settlements, I'm betting this would become a very popular download if you're willing to share.

Man, you never let me down with your builds. I love the run down vibe. The only thing I disagree is having run down interior, and I am not talking about the added clutter, that is actually quite nice. I have issue with not deleting broken items that are highlighted yellow. Because you are stuck with random item in the middle of the place and then the extra clutter makes it too much. For example that closet, I would just swap it with newer one. At least in this build the closet wasn't out of place. But then that is just personal preference. Other than that, you are doing amazing job with these, and I love how you are making all this builds without mods. Takes a lot of willpower to get it right and snap without mods. I know the pain! 😂

This is great work. The Slog is one of my favorites, too. I like the "square" settlements, or at least the ones that don't have crazy angles that make it difficult to connect walls properly.

Even with mods working with that roof is a pain. It sucks because there is so much cool stuff you could theoretically do with it. Also wish the settlers would use the elevators. Makes me always avoid them unless it's purely for a player home built into the settlement.

Always hated that you can't just straight fix or clip building materials into place. Without having to do a bunch of back flips.
