Because I'm afraid there will be an avalanche of comments under the video about my lack of professionalism. But seriously, it's about not making holes in shingles and it's also easier to screw this anchor as there are fewer layers under it.

Sure! Yellow is best for use with mechanical taping tools. TOTAL is similar to the blue one I talk about in this video, but a little lighter. Simply put, it is another version of the universal conpound.

If you screw those screws straight in, is the rafter or truss wide enough so they all go in to the truss completely?

At the very top yes, you screw them into the ridge board. Below that it's a little more difficult. In fact, 2 screws are able to hold you steady. However, the manufacturer in the manual recommends doing it as in the video.

@@JOE_JET_DIY Ok, thank you. It should make sense to me after I get the ridge vent off. I'm using the HitchClips and D minus anchors so they are not as wide as the anchor used in your video.

You're welcome! You are absolutely right. Your real repair, however, is to replace the catalytic converter/converters. Im sorry but few people driving a 20-year-old junk can afford it 🤡

@@JOE_JET_DIYokay you understand that by doing this “repair” you’re teaching people to mask the vehicles problem for it only to damage later on and cost MORE money then taking it to a muffler shop to replace with cheaper universal cat. Teach people that. Teach them that there are independent shops, that they don’t have to go to a Chain of shops or a dealership. Or you teach them how to do the actual repair themselves. Buying parts online and the proper tools.
