Can you do a video on your mini split and what made you pick that one thinking of doing a mini split on my bus conversion but looking at doing a dual head unit
@CappellaBus3 ай бұрын
The mini split project is half done and I will get back to it soon. We choose this one because I’m having a 220v system anyway, most people do the single head because is 110v. Do you have a KZbin channel for the build?
@MrBROOKS17183 ай бұрын
I don’t have a KZbin channel, but I am going to start one a little nervous about it. I have a 1997 MCI 102DL3 custom Coach conversion that I am going to be modifying and retrofitting for my families needs. It currently has a lot of outdated non-efficiency systems and I’ve been watching your build and I’m going to follow some of the same ideas that you have, I think I’m going to go for a 24 V battery bank and I’m looking at a dual head unit mini split that runs off of 220 or 240

Can you give us the auction name or was just random cos i would love to have one of those buses
@CappellaBus4 ай бұрын
It was from a random google search that we landed on, I know there are several online auction sites that transit agencies use. If I remember correctly it was Govdeals for this one. Good luck for you!

Might suggest adding a bit of butyl or other caulk/sealer between the receptacle and the exterior surface.

Good call, I think overtime the rubber gasket will fail. One more maintenance item lol

Normally I only like being in the drivers seat but on your bus that passenger area looks really inviting. I'm going to google that material you used for the top, looks promising.

Been following your build. Great job. My question is on the removing the wiring from the black box behind the drivers seat. I have been dreading that for months any tip?
@CappellaBus7 ай бұрын
Yeah, that’s always nerve racking! I did follow the wires from there to the other end one by one and went removing them carefully. One thing I can say is to test if the bus is working normally after each removal. This way if you get something wrong you know exactly what was it and can easily fix it. Check us out on IG and send a DM if you need more help. Good luck with your conversion too!

I wish I saw your comment two days ago. I did completely the opposite, ripped all of them now I have three warning lights lol. I have no idea which is which. (Check 12v, high voltage system, low voltage system.) interior lights not switching on😊

How fast can it go? You think if its speed limited you could mod it to go faster?
@CappellaBus8 ай бұрын
It goes around 70-75mph on the highway, at least that’s what I got driving it from Texas to California. I don’t think you wanna go faster than that anyway 👀
