To hear Jonas Kaufmann sing this live would be like experiencing a little piece of heaven on earth. His voice is so exquisite and very well suited to this beautiful music. Bravo Richard Strauss, bravo wonderful orchestra under the baton of Jochen Rieder but, most of all, bravo, bravo Jonas Kaufmann.

This is, in my opinion, the most fabulous, the most touching, the most truely felt convincing version of this aria, inspite the poor quality of the recording... Divine ! There is so much emotion in his voice, in his body language - he really IS this Alvaro! it goes right into my heart and soul... BRAVISSIMO Maestro and Thank you ! Can listen to it again and again...❤❤
