But me whenever I watch the movie I think of it as only a movie that is all it is just a movie nothing else it does not necessarily mean that I want to be like that in real life no way man I would never want to do something like that not at all

So now he knows exactly what it was that had made him kill his sister it was a voice that he had heard and it told him to kill his sister

They did actually! After he ended up murdering his sister when he was like 7, he was put into a mental health facility to try and help him, where he proceeded to discreetly murder several other inmates and then Loomis's wife according to the comics. As Loomis himself said, he did spend 7 years trying to help Michael, but after nothing worked and Michael proceeded to literally murder his wife, Loomis felt convinced that Michael was pure evil incarnate, which as it turns out, he literally is lol.

Pleasance is totally into the role, do you see his eyes glistening as if he would break down and cry any moment? He is at his last nerve, he is nervous, terribly afraid, he just makes this fucking role his own. Now for my two favourite actors of all time. I think could have pull it off but I just cant imagine a commanding person like Lee being so nervous and shaky. This would have been a different Loomis. I also don't think that there would be much threat going off from Michael if 1,96 m Sir Christopher loomed over everyone around him. He would have been great, the movie still would have been a success but I don't know if the Loomis role would have been that iconic. Now for Cushing. Again, selfassured, very commanding. Used to play the hero in such pics. I just can't imagine him, sorry. He is a pitchperfect actor but I just think of Van Helsing. Peter Cushing probably would have delivered that speech with his trademark coolness and trademark lifted indexfinger, also looking more dominant and commanding then the nervous wreck that is Pleasance. I don't know how much Carpenters direction would have been able to change Chris and Peters distinctive styles so in my book, Pleasance was the right choice to go with.

TRIVIA: Donald Pleasence was not to keen on taking this roll. It was only at the urging of his young daughters. He got paid a pretty decent salary for the short time he was actually on screen. TRIVIA: This movie was originally supposed to be titled "The Baby Sitter Murders". TRIVIA: In the auditions, the ditzy blonde (P.J. Soles) got the roll due to the way she said "totally".

The pacing in this film was interesting I liked that through each act miachel claimed a new victim slowly and was getting closer and closer to Laurie before she even realizes it that it’s too late and then by the climax of the film look is finally catches up to Michael

Halloween and John Wick did a wonderful job of building up these mythical Boogeyman like characters by talking. The person who really outlies this essence is someone credible to the audience (Loomis in Halloween, Viggo in John Wick), but at the same time, you see this essence of fear in them. Instead of being macho and denying it, they admit it. They admit the Boogeyman scares them, and coming from them, it means Something.
