The line rating on this model which is our medium planer rod is 50-80lb. We typically fish 80lb braid on this set up but have customers that are fishing 100lb braid as well. Our trolling spread when planer fishing includes this rod for our #4 or #4-6 long planer and then our heavy version of this rod for our #6 or #8 short planer.

Crap you gave away my mutton spot in west end lol been catching them on the sand flats over there my whole life if you anchor up get conch shells and stuff old conch guts back into the shell drop one overboard every so often lip down and use the guts for bait it’s cheap and it produces learned it from the locals
