To all non-italian people. This video is the best for learning exactly how to do italian gestures. It's not just the gesture, it matters how you do it, I mean the whole body and facial expressions. However, some gestures are more used than others, and some may have little different meaning according to the different italian regions

Can't quite understand explanation of two gestures. Drawing thumb down cheek: "whore"? And raising little finger: "very teeny"? Anybody wiser than I as to what these mean?

Yours is the best explanation. You are also very charming. Also I like that you mentioned the fact about the empire ending then people migrating to Roman lands like Arabs to southern Italy, Viking in Britain, Slavs and gypsies to the Balkans.
