But what I ended up doing is using the free Google Slides app, A blank slide is bright white and you can enlarge it to fill the iPad's screen. Put your printed design on the iPad screen and then put the fabric on top and cinch it down.

I was able to use my iPad as a light box. There are good KZbin videos on how to do this. I found this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKmTd51rbZh_f9U

Thank you for making this video. I just purchased a Sashiko 2 and brought it home. Watching you work was a great help as I already have 2 unbacked wall hangings ready to stitch using the Sashiko. Thoughtful process. Thorough. Many great tips. Beautiful quilt. My mom passed away in December of 2023 at 92. She hand quilted many of my quilts and hand stitched the bindings to the back of all the quilts I’ve made over the past ten years. The Sashiko will help me honor my mom’s legacy as well as help me prepare my own. And……..I loved your voice.

Just bought mine! I went with this die vs the epp specific ones. 1) people said the seam allowance was not big enough in the other one. And 2 I love that it gives 3 sizes. Even if you have to do more rounds.

❤Omg 😮 This is such a game changer, thank you so much Belle❤ you are the greatest. 😊I have the same Accuquilt hexagon 2"3" & 5. I have the 8" cube dye and dye #6 it's perfect size to cut the middle hexagon. I have a bin where I keep all my cut-up cube dye full of precuts #6 dye in all kinds of fabric prints and solids. It works perfectly. Great idea Belle. ❤Not only that I downloaded a Tack it easy press pattern, I took card stock paper ran it through my scanNcut. Now I have a perfectly tack it easy Hexie press. It makes it much easier and faster. I don't get glue on my fingers. Thank you for sharing, Belle. HAPPY SEWING

If you are hand sewing the hexis together, which I enjoy doing, does the stabilizer cause the needle to become sticky , gummy, or dull if you 'catch' some of it in the stitches? Thanks for your reply!
@SeamsSewMe5 ай бұрын
Not at all- there is no glue on the stabilizer I use. And the basting stick glue doesn’t get on your needle bc the glue dries so quickly.

I had the Bobbinator on my Christmas list last year! My sister came thru for me! I absolutely love it! I don't do English Paper Piecing, so I use it on my sewing machine a lot. I did not realize that it came with 80 wt thread. I have just been using my regular 50 wt thread when I piece and quilt. Will have to try the 80 wt next time I go to piece blocks.
@SeamsSewMe8 ай бұрын
Yes! Give the 80wt Decobob a try and a let me know what you think. My seams are so much flatter and my blocks more accurate due to thinner ( but strong poly thread).
