A Color Blast? Definitely. As for how much, you'd have to take a look at some eBay completed sales to see where things are at, but it's a pretty popular insert and they do pretty well

Appreciate the comment. That's kind of the issue though, you're saying realistic, but the main issue is the perceived value which isn't going to change. If you make the box $80 you won't be getting the same box, it'll be 12 packs per box and 8 cards per pack. Auto's would be 1 per case, etc... So basically the price get's dropped, but you pull even less in a box, so has that really solved the issue? Or do folks go, "well now it should be $50 per box!" That's why I gave the Prizm WWE example. Boxes were basically double and most of the breaks were a loss, but folks saw color and assumed they did better, but really plenty of breaks I saw were duds, even with parallels and the guaranteed autos. It's how folks view it.

Rookies is a little open to interpretation, but I'd probably say Billie Starkz, Mariah May (if you don't count any Stardom stuff), Nick Wayne I'm pretty sure. The ones I'm also thinking might not have another base are Action Andretti and Harley Cameron. Might have missed one or two, but I think that covers it for the base set.

Totally get your point. I wouldn't expect the auto ratio to go up though, UD flagship has been de-emphasizing mem and autos for a bit, so their AEW is following what's been going on with their hockey as well.

@@BICWrestling Yea UD needs to revisit what they consider "hits" in their products.

AEW doesn't do the configuration of the set, that's an Upper Deck decision.

@@BICWrestling Ok then Upper Deck gets most of the blame. But let's not act like AEW can't speak up to change this. Their wrestlers could easily sign more cards/stickers if they wanted them to buff up the boxes' auto chances. There is simply no excuse why these boxes are such shit.

This is an interesting take. I agree 23' was a step up from 22' Flagship. Most Metal Universe boxes were pretty meh, but I do like some of the inserts better when you did hit on a few, so it's a toss up there, but I get what you're saying.

So I get this in theory, but just in looking at WWE Prizm from this year that would mean filling boxes with a couple $5-10 autos in a lot of cases. I don't think guaranteeing that would add much value. Same thing with relics or low numbered parallels. If they're in every box, they're not special and the market just adjusts and makes those worthless. Regardless I agree this configuration doesn't do much to create exciting breaks

Agreed. The tech cards aren't enough of a draw to keep the breaks interesting.

That's totally fair. They are nice looking cards, but it's tough to drum up the interest in them as the box hit.

Most of them. Occasionally I find some on Facebook groups I'm in or COMC that came over from ePack, but most of the stuff is eBay

If the cards are on COMC, I'll use CGC for the convenience and price, especially if the cards and mainly for PC. If it's a card I have already I'll usually submit it to PSA since I can drop it off at one of the Expos.

@@BICWrestling While I know TK and his love of Jericho, I feel like maybe his ideas aren’t getting over and it may be the end. He is never going to main event ever again. The whole TK telling people “trust me, I know what I’m doing” with the Hook vs Jericho match was for Jericho to move into the manager role and Big Bill to become a bigger name. But his popularity from England didn’t translate to the US.

Thanks! Eventually, yes. There's a 2024 Upper Deck AEW that's supposed to come out late August, but who knows on the timing for that. Then there should be a Black Diamond Set and a newer Allure series. Based on last year, my guess is they end up rushing to get them released under the wire before the end of the year, so it ends up being 3 quick releases one after another.
