never got why people skipped support, was my main role. granted I just never touched conquest because people loved yelling at the support for everything. Any ways thanks for the guide! used to play Anhur back in smite 1 beta but I am cursed with always being terrible with him, yet I want to play him so badly. maybe this will help

Just a suggestion to do some more research before making a guide. Anubis doesn't gain power the more Lifesteal he has and he never did. You might be mistaken with an item "Typhon's Fang"(PASSIVE - Your Healing obtained from Magical Lifesteal is increased by 15%. Your Magical power is increased by 1.5x the amount of Magical Lifesteal you have). Anubis's Passive in Smite 1 consists of stealing protections from enemies and gaining them for himself and increasing his healing up to 60%. He also gets 30% Crown Control Reduction. Smite 1: When hit with 3 ticks of Anubis's abilities 21 Flat reduction in protections to enemies 21 Protections gained for Anubis 60% Increased Healing 30% CCR Smite 2: When at low Health (20%) Gain 24% Lifesteal Gain 24% Physical Protections Gain 24% Magical Protections.

I appreciate the correction! I confused his passive in this video lol. If you watch my guide from a year and a half ago I correctly explain his passive. However the guide for smite 2 still stands. Will make sure to re check smite gods before my uploads. Have an awesome day brother!!

Thanks for the info. Do you think that Anubis passive is better in Smite 2 than it was in Smite 1? I like the protections in the new passive however in Smite 1 , building that life steal made it hard for anybody to jump Anubis and live because he could out sustain them

I do not like his passive in smite 2. I think it was way better in smite because it made him a powerhouse with unbelievable sustain. I think it opens him up for builds you would not normally consider for him in the original game like cooldowns however for all the wrong reasons. I think he was better in smite then he is now and the protections and lifesteal he receives in his current passive do not do anything for him by the time he only has 20% health left. Hoping for a revert or buff to current passive.

Hope you all enjoy the new guide! Anubis was one of my favorite gods in Smite. I'm hoping he finds a good place in Smite 2 as well. Guide correction: Anubis OG smite passive does not give power with more lifesteal this came from an item known as "Typhoons fang". His passive actually just reduced base protections from the god and stole them for yourself. This did increase your overall damage dealt but not through the mechanics i explained. Sorry lol my OG anubis guide from a year and a half ago explain it correctly if you have any questions! The smite 2 guide still stands.

I like that you explained your reasoning for each choice during itemization. It's helpful in understanding how Zhong Kui works and more futureproofed against meta or item changes. Also, I really appreciate the choice to work backwards from Z to A. A to Z series are serious undertakings and it's refreshing to see someone take that into consideration when starting one.

Appreciate it. I come from DotA (started on LoL) and my initial reaction to Smite was it was easy as hell and just a sub for DotA (no PC atm lol) but after playing a bit I can see it’s a bit more than I thought and it is still pretty fun. Though I feel a lot more of the game relies on camp knowledge. Though maybe I’m just too into DotA now haha. But this was helpful!

I am not a fan of starting 2 items at once. I knew I could handle him after our first encounter on lane and knowing the physical jungle would be more of a threat then the hades I stuck to the physical first item. The only way the hades would have a chance to kill me is with his ult. Bellona has the perfect ult to counter it.

If you want to build a starter I would go for Sands of time for the cooldowns, but to be fair you could skip a starter all together and just rush into your auras. Joust does not punish you for skipping starters like conquest does.

Could you give some insight on why you chose teleport? Is it bc he has no movement in his kit?

I typically always run teleport on carry lane unless going up against a heavy cc team, the lane pressure once upgraded to stage 2 is incredible.

Without watching the game back I would probably say I typically don't want to dump all my abilities on a camp just incase I need something for a fight right after or run into someone in the jungle.

@@thebrycryYT haha I feel that. Honestly I have slowed down on Ranked a lot because it gets decently boring to solo queue. There’s some highlights to it, though. I usually just play casual conquest with friends.

Well if you are 105 I am sure you have a good grasp on game mechanics so nothing really there, For conquest always start in casuals, I would not recommend hoping straight into ranked. I good way to learn is playing with bots on the conquest map to get an idea of where everything is. I also suggest watching Weakens tutorial videos on what each roles positioning and roles throughout the game are. its a little older video but still very good for the basics! Another big thing is playing with friends, learning the ropes with someone else makes things more bearable, not all smite players are nice to new players so just ignore them and learn the game if they are not actually teaching you and just being grumpy pants. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask! : )

@@paulhuot1937 The most damaging for joust would be Vampiric shroud for the beginning brawls, bancroft, typhons fang, Rod of tahuti, spear of the magus and spear of desolation. If enemy team has healers build divine ruin <3 Good luck
