OMG reminds me of MM chamber. I was the pianist in the Poulenc Sextet .. in the last movement the stupid page turner knocked the music score off the piano. Luckily I had it memorized. Jeez. ONE JOB ! LOL. True story: I was performing Khatchaturian's Db Piano Concerto in my teens. The stage manager forgot to secure the rollers on the Steinway grand. So I hit the first chord and the piano rolled away LOL> I burst out laughing. We stopped. The technician came out and fixed it and the conductor and I came back. I was only 16. So it was a youth orchestra at a performing arts school and not a professional auditorium --But when you are a performer you see it all. I remember I was a rehearsal accompanist for a production of Sondheim's Company with Carol Burnett as Joanne. She told me a hysterical story about the 2nd act of Putting it Together .. the wardrobe did not secure her dress and her dress fell completely to the floor during the production . That was is on the bloopers of the Putting it Together DVD. John Barrowman fell to floor laughing hysterically. They stopped the production and started the whole 2nd act over after Carol changed. I also remember being in a production of Gianni Schicchi in college where we had no ideas our tights were a little too revealing under certain lights. The joke among us baritones was instead of Povvero Buoso . "Povvero bulge-o"

HOLY CRAP: The Richard Strauss Also Sprach was so painful I burst out laughing. Just as bad as listening to Florence Foster Jenkins attempt the Queen of the Night LOL. And as a Concert pianist myself while performing The Trout Quintet and the page turner from hell knocked the score off the piano ...luckily I had the the piece memorized LOL. Also I remember singing Poulenc's Stabat Mater and a singer on the riser fainted fell into the two harpist knocking them down on top of other players. Luckily no one was seriously injured. And the craziest I ever experienced was when I was 13 and played a two piano version of Rhapsody in Blue with sister on orchestral reduction. The technician didn't tune her piano so we were playing bout 1/2 tone off from each other LOL. It sounded more like Schoenberg LOL. I also competed in the Hodges' International in 84 and went out to perform the Ginastera Sonata no 1. The pianist before had cut his hand in a blender and had a bandaid around it. It opened up during his Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody so when I got the piano the keys were covered in blood. I wiped it up with a hankie -- and turned the audience and sang the first line of "Attend the Tale of Sweeney Todd". The audience laughed and a technician came out with some rubbing alcohol. I took 5 and came back on and performed. I also remember at Opera Pacific in the quietest pianissimo of the last act of La Traviata .. some asshole with a cell .. his phone went off with "la cucharacha" 5 times. The orchestra kept going but.. the guy was escorted out and people clapped right before Alfredo's final entrance. OMG I cracked up on the Mendelssohn wedding march. I remember an old church lady at a Methodist church that played .almost that bad. OK and a true horrible one that most audience members didn't catch was a Tosca in Berlin where the singer sang in German "They are going to shit blanks at you" instead of shoot. LOL. OMG the finale painful polytonality in the Handel Messiah . (we used to nickname such examples. as Handel's THE MESS)

You clearly do not get it, this piece aint no joke, when it comes to Chopin its consodered by many to be the most difficult piece he ever wrote, those thirds are deadly There is also the pressure of playing at the prestigious Chopin competition, sometimes, when nervous, memory fails, i have no doubt that he was able to play this incredibly well but the pressure was just too much

The one that took the cake was Miss Mississippi's "rendition" of Sarasate's "Zapataedo". That was really something to behold. If you want to hear how it actually goes, it was Midori's encore to her Carnegie Hall debut concert she gave when she was 18 ...

Why don't the page turners put tabs on the top of the pages in the order of turning so they just have to grab the tab? And as extra precaution attach the music booklet on a piece of cardboard attached to the music desk so it doesn't fall off during page turning.

Drawing a blank. I lost 20 points off a professional board exam because I blanked out on a question. Same FUQNG question I blanked out of in a pathology finals. You'd think I would have remembered. Still managed to rank #11 nationwide. Dogone.

You can visibly see Putin's blood pressure rise with that horrible performance of the orchestra. His breathing becomes deep and he can barely contain his facial expression. Interesting to watch that.
