Supposedly it won’t freeze. They said to use around 20% ammonia which will have a freezing point around -75 degrees.
@williesweetjr87132 ай бұрын
On my experience, the mixture has never frozen likely due to fairly mild temperatures here and jsut the properties of the ammonia. The same recipe with a cup of isopropyl alcohol acts as a deicer with different result based on spray nozzle and conditions. One of my cars has a fine wide spray pattern that freezes on the windshield no doubt due to rapid evaporation of alcohol, wind speed, temperature of the glass, especially before inside heat and outside air temperature. Alcohol evaporates fairly quickly in the container, its vented, and should be toped off from time to time. With isopropyl, it may not freeze but turn into a slush at low temperatures. I've found that underhood heat keeps the solution liquid even in freezing conditions.This woud be especially true for@bsg1292 driving a tractor trailer that is usaually idling when parked in cold weather. My reading research says menthonal in a half and half solution is the best for not freezing but I have never used it. Thanks for the great comments and input!

It's like they say, A hard head makes a soft ass. Excuse my language. Your a good man who tried to do a good thing. Sometimes all you can do is sit back and let them make there mistakes, and hopefully after they've made a few they'll come back and ask, "What was that thing you were saying that time?" That's the reward. Keep doing what you do Willie Sweet, and thank you for your videos.
