I bought a lot of tools new and used from Ebay and Mercari, can I consider the purchase transaction as a receipt?

I really enjoy your content. I'm not a tool dealer or mechanic by trade but I use tools to maintain and repair things. When I need tools I never take out a loan, I pay cash. Which is what everyone buying tools should do in the first place.
@midatlantictools10 күн бұрын
At times techs can't wait to save up and need the tool to get the job done but some do pay in full. I know it's been over a year from my last video. I hope to get back to doing more content soon.

I stopped using snap on tool trucks, 20 years of buying snap on tools, have a full shop of nothing but snap on tools. New younger snap on truck owner takes over, after multiple calls to show at my shop and many failed promises and flakey dates of 2 years, totally wrong to think i have to drop big $$$ every time he stops to keep him coming for service, repairs and fot me buy new tools. I called 6 weeks ago about 2 new cordless impacts that i wanted to buy, no show but received flakey text's about coming by, i said Fuck it, i have now changing my whole shop platform to Milwaukee tools and i can get repairs and service done just up the road from me. Before you drop 1000's on snap on tools pals, just know that as soon as your shop is full, they will ghost you, and that is horse manure.

My neighbor owns a Matco franchise. He has many years of experience and he told me flat out that he used to try to accommodate everyone and be there at their beck and call, but he got burned so many times through the years that he goes to the shops he damn well feels like.

You miss EVERY chance you dont take and hes missed out on a lot of sales for that attitude of his. Just because people aren't buying at THAT time doesn't mean they wont in the future. What makes snap-on worth buying today is a better question? Answer that!!! Please as I've been a customer for over decades... is impossible to compare the original sockets... of my day to a snap-on Socket... (today might be different... but I know.. I will snap a snap on faster than the old Craftsman sockets. I've still very usfull Craftsman sockets. I will crack a snap-on socket but they do fit over the years? Or they pumped up them sockets. (Cuz I broke a lot of snappers... and many of the older guy my age and older know... it's realy easy to crack a snap-on.

I've never bought from a tool truck before. Is there any incentive, from your point of view, if a customer buys via weekly payments vs cash? I'd assume cash would be preferred...?

Question: is there a way for a member of the public (not a tech) to buy from a tool truck? Or is that forbidden? I tried once to buy a Snap On tool, and left repeated messages for the Snap On guy, never a call back. Eventually gave up, and bought this tool from a competitor brand. I was prepared to meet the truck whenever, wherever. Guess my money wasn't worth his time.

Tool trucks guy can sell to antone who walks onto the truck. Most likely you will pay in full if it's not one of the dealer reg. stop.

Years back, I bought a used Matco middle box off of Craigslist and needed parts to repair it. I was willing to pay for them and I asked the local Matco rep about them. On the phone he told me basically that he couldn’t be bothered and gave me a high price. I then called Matco corporate and got the parts for free. Consequently I got him fired from the route and removed. I guess he should have thought twice about his decision to be a nitwit.

I would like to hear more about the warranty If i pay the price for the tool it should be warrantied by that company even if the tool is twenty years old and i did not buy it from you... you seem to be confirming that the warranty is a scam...

How is it a scam? If you buy a tool the warranty comes from the manufacture of the tool. I must be misunderstanding your post. Thanks for watching.

the whole tool truck thing seems like risky business. from what i hear snap on screws their distributers just as much as the customers. Then even as an independant you got alot of investment and just hope the techs pay. In the end i would just guess you need to run 80% GPM just to keep your head above water.
