For the latest and greatest tech chaser, sure. It is. For a photographer who is more about photography, the 6D will always be a great stills camera. I was making a living with a Nikon FM and Canon AE1 back in the 90s. I pulled off some great images. A few years ago I had a Sony A7RII. More than I needed and a battery hog. I ended up trading it in for some money and picked up an 80D to go with my 6D. I've had images accepted for jury-selected shows in recent years made with older cameras. Sony a5000, Nikon D90 (honorable mention, btw), and even an IR converted 20D. All images for the shows were either 11x14 or 12x18 matted to 16x20. I've shot in near darkness with the 6D and no flash and was able to clean the images up well in Lightroom. I'd shoot a portrait session today with the 6D and get great results.

So I was lucky enough to get an a900 this week after using my a700 and having disappointing pics with my old Minolta lenses from my Max. X7000. The A700 photo quality improved with a Sony APSC lens. I always wanted a full frame rig and the stars aligned.

Thank you very much! I can't remember the exact settings, but it was a variation of the Kodak Gold Simulation from www.veresdenialex.com/8-free-sony-film-simulations The older Sony color-sience is a little bit on the cooler side, so I tried to keep it warmer. This is a jewel of a camera. Not for picture quality; it has long been surpassed by newer offerings. But as a finely crafted object with obsessive attention to detail. The all metal body is a rarity these days, and you can see the design lineage from the Canon ELPH (an APS film camera from 1996). As an object of industrial design, this camera was a high water mark in the early 2000s.

Very beautiful shots ! I love this atmposphere you transmit with your photos . I have the same camera I use it in my travel because of its size but I 'm not good as you. I have also a 15 years old Nikon d90 and I like shots at 1000 ISO or more because for me it has a lovely noise with a little bit taste of past but it's too heavy and too big to bring in a trip for this reason I chose this sony

My first m43 camera, purchased in 2009 after I got fed up waiting for Canon and Nikon to get off their addiction to DSLRs and go mirrorless. Micro 4/3 was a smart move by Olympus and Panasonic and I suspect both companies picked up a legion of fans who might have otherwise bought Canon or Nikon. Still shooting with a m43 camera to this day ...

My first digital camera, bought in 2006 to teach myself the basics of digital photography without locking myself into DSLR system. The pictures taken with the S80 still look surprisingly good, even with 8 megapixels in a tiny sensor. I really don't see the point of getting a modern 40 megapixel camera. And I miss having ISO 50; I don't know who in their right mind would choose to shoot at ISO 12800.

I bought this cámara in 2003 and used it for many years. The only reason I stop using this camera was because my son grew to the point that he would not stay still long enough for the slow auto focus. Maybe it got slower because of how much love it got. Through the many cameras I have owned, I still long for this camera. Its lower contrast and lower saturation pictures and 5 megapixels still have hold on me. It can’t compare to my canon R5, but my R5 can’t put out the flame I still hold for my old C5050. My sons asks why I take so many photos and sometimes wonder if it’s because I am still trying to recreate what my little old c5050 created for me so many years ago.
