When I got my new dryer I installed the legs and then pushed it back up and the legs bent the metal on the case and broke the plastic. I got new plastic but they broke with the bent and thin case metal. I think that Whirlpool put the legs up to high and it weakened the leg supports. Any ideas?

Thank you Steve! I was able to restore functionality to a dryer that’s belt slipped off the tensioner. Thanks to this video, I knew what the system was supposed to look like, was able to quickly identify the issue then instantly correct it. I honestly have no idea how much someone would have charged to do what needed to be done; thank you for saving money!

The threads left inside appears to be a common problem when the retainer nut has broken off, do you have a method for its removal?

One of the burners on my LG range ( Model # LSE4611ST/00 ) is not playing fair. It is the smaller burner and has two heat stages, one smaller in diameter than the other. The smaller heat stage will come up normally i.e. it gets red hot . Just as it gets to a point that turns on the "hot surface" light, it turns off. It fails to come back on until the surface cools. Once cools it does the same thing... heats to red, hot surface light, then the element turns off. I am was thinking the control switch was the problem. I found that four of the five control switches ( one of them my suspect switch) have the same part number. I swapped the "bad" switch out with one of the other identical switches. The burner still fails the same way. I'm thinking the burner has some sort of thermal cutoff that is part of the burner. Burner elements are a bit expensive so I thought I'd bounce my problem off the gurus here at PartSelect. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am a manager of studio operations at a graphic design firm full of men. We were going to have to call a repair person when our tubing broke, but then I found this video. A few days later, and we have a functioning water dispenser thanks to the lone woman. I feel so empowered! What needs fixing next??

I noticed you didn't do the right front on camera. LOL. By far harder to get to than all of the others combined. Wish that galvanized plate was screwed on not pinched welded on. EDIT: I wrote that comment before I did the rear shocks. The opposing corner rear is by FAR the hardest to get to! Ugh

A few helpful hints to go with this video: 1. Take a pic of your belt configuration before you take it off. 2. Tilt your dryer back about 45 degrees when you take the front off and the drum will stay in place and you will have better belt access as well as a much easier time getting the front back on with the drum correctly in place.
