I would love to get to see Mesquite rodeo one more time. We ( my wife and 3 daughters were on our way to see the last performance before it was torn down. Our truck broke down in Enis , Texas. That was as close as we got.

Myrtis Dightman was my greatest hero’s when i was getting started ! He pulled my rope when I was riding in the Astrodome at the finials ! A great cowboy and an inspiration who I was thankful for

An amazing amount of help in many ways from so many people across the nation giving a hand up to those affected. And yet the loss was so great that it will take several years of help and money to rebuild homes, barns, fences, and herds just to get back to square one for many ranchers. And the drought continues with the dangers of more fires until the region receives more rain. Thanks to all who donate to the special fund for wildfire relief!
