Some notes to anyone thats going to try and make one, when hand sanding the blade or draw filing it, the side that has the blade, keep your fingers up and open to prevent cutting yourself. If you see in yhis video, his hand on the blade aide is closed, and with as fast as hes mo ing could easily cut the fingers. The other thing, rebar isnt a bad steel if youre making general tools or apocalypse weapons and kts all you have. It wont hold an edge long, and youll spend a lot of time keeping it sharp. Better for pointy stabby things like spears or spiked weapons.

Major problems throughout this build. Would never recommend using this in battle or even selling it. It's obvious that this is a learning piece not a craftsman piece.

I like how little tools this video needs. I want to ask about some things you used in the video. This angle grinder at 4:07 , what disc does it have? I'd like to know the discs you used for this video. I can guess that the first one is for metal cutting. But what about the one at 4:42 ? Is it also the same but smaller? Also at 7:45 , 8:48 .

Nice work. 2 things I would had done. 1- put a pin In the handle and 2- flatten the handle some. A round hbandle makes the weapon slide in the hand

Several questions, what is carbon content (hard or mild steel)? What about heat treat for hardness and tempering? Just because it looks like a sword does not mean it will function as one.

While these are all good points made, the base of the video was how to forge a blade. It's the basic principle of forging. The points you make are another topic that would make another good video 😏👍
