This one actually two basic lei (single braided lei). And you make the flowers and just sew them on. the lei. I have. this kind of lei with different flowers. You can also glue gun them on the lei. Thank you again for watching.

The final ribbon to tie around the middle and to the lei is about 15". After you tie, if you think it's too long, you can just cut them. Thank you so much. So sorry. for a very late reply.

Very beautiful! A couple of questions: (1) Do we have to use the beads? Are they there for structural reasons? (2) Is the satin edge of the ribbon necessary or can we just use sheer? Would the sheer ribbon fray if it didn't have a satin edge for the thread to hold on to?

Very good questions! (1) you don't have to use beads, but these little beads make the folds fluffy. Yes, I can say they are for structural reason. They make the folds stay in shape also. (2) The satin edge makes the lei have 2 tones. I think it's better to use satin ribbon, than sheer ribbon. If you use sheer ribbon, it won't fray, because it has firm edge. It's just too flimsy.
