@@Maxxi999 what a legend, tysm. One last question and I hope it's not too stupid, with the firmware do both extruder's still work or are there edits that should be made? Am going to tackle all of this over the course of the week and just want to make sure I'm not missing anything with the board swap+duct

@@Gnopeirl Both extruders still work. You can take the settings from the original firmware. The steps per mm settings will be completely different so that takes time to test measure and correct.

@@Maxxi999 I put on my big boy pants last night and dug through Marlin for the first time and somehow stumbled to that answer lol. I ran into seemingly 1 last question I tried my hardest to find an answer for but came up empty handed. Are the TMC2209s in UART mode? I would think that would be the only option but there's some lines in the firmware that might indicate you're in sensorless mode(?) but this is my first time going this deep and I think I'm just not 100% sure what I'm looking at. Will keep your steps note handy, board comes in today and I've got everything ready to go for this

You could change the dual carrige to a singe one making the print area bigger. There are designs on the web to print such carriges.

Alvast bedankt!
@Maxxi999
@Maxxi999 3 жыл бұрын
Hoi Matthias. :)

perfect, I saw two separate 3D printed trumpets both of them only used brass mouth piece, I wondered why, but then I rationalized it was a sanitation issue. I'm glad to see a 3D printed mouthpiece now if I could see a 3D printed mouthpiece used on a 3D printed trumpet that would be nice

Nice lines. R U sure you will subscribe for "minder snel" next time? ;) I personally think it's kind of dangerous, this major difference in speed.....
@Maxxi999

The issue here was that this would be the first time out on this bike for me, hence "minder snel" but I'm not going to do that anymore. The difference in speed is indeed too high.

2nd extruder on my Leapfrog Creatr now working perfect after adjusting the distance of the pressure bearing on the extruder. Procedure can be found on page 44 of the Leapfrog Creatr manual: www.lpfrg.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Leapfrog-3D-Printers-Creatr-Manual-Windows2.pdf

Yes it'll work without support. I mainly print with ABS and heated bed and the result isn't always as nice as I'd want it to be at overhangs. Also taking advantage of the 2nd extruder but PLV is rather expensive still.

ive run our makerbot over areas like that without support, as long as its a small area (about 1/4 inch or less) it can cantilever without much issues. with PLA anyway, as it just hardens so fast it doesnt fall. did you try one without by chance?

Hi and thanks. I did put some effort in vibration dampening. It's partly post processing(used wrong codec) and partly weather conditions. It rained just before my flight and it was a warm day. Very foggy.
