Hi Marvin. I've been following your vids for quite some time now and I'm really happy that I watched this video of yours. Just like you, I'm also a CPA here in the Philippines with over 11 years of experience (I think magkasing edad lang tayo lol). I've been a CPA for over 9 years now and I won't really say that I genuinely enjoy our line of work. I can say na isa ako doon sa mga "pagod na" na nabanggit mo. Haha. In the past 11 years, pinagsasabay ko yung full-time job ko sa office at yung part-time freelancing ko and now I'm on the verge of letting go of my full-time job (maybe after we receive our bonus in March next year lol) to focus on my freelance work and our family business. I've known to myself that I'd be so much happier running and growing my own business rather than staying in a secure corporate job but my conservative mindset and the fear of the unknown is holding me back. Sobrang nag resonate sa akin yung sinabi ng nakilala mo sa Taiwan na what if yung effort mo ng 8-9 hours a day ay ilaan mo sa bagay na kung saan ka masaya and see where it goes. Correct. Its easier to demand a higher pay and land in a better position with experience. Lalo na if umabot ka na sa Director level.

Pero nasa point nadin ako ng buhay ko na wala na akong pake kung iwanan kotong trabaho nato at humanap ako ng isang hanapbuhay na kahit hindi kalakihan pero sustainable at masaya ako na nagagawa yung kalayaan na gusto ko And relate ako dyan, ang galing mag balance ang galing magawa yung work, yung task. Pero minsan nakaka pagod din naman ganon at nasaan nayung time para sa sarili, para mag rest, movie watch, chill, mag gala etc. wala na

I think you're gonna be fine. Even if you quit your job, you can easily go back to the corporate world (most especially with your line of work as a CPA graduate). What's important is your mental state. What's the use of earning a lot of money if you're not gonna be mentally stable and happy? 🤔

never look at money as your motivation when you decide to leave your profession and do content creation because you should also take note that people or your viewers watch your content is because they appreciate your commitment to entertain while doing your first love - your profession. Think again

Hi Marvs, congratulations on this brave leap of career sana magawa ko din yan. Chinaga ko talagang panoorin itong 47 mins long mong vlog kaloka ka hahaha 😂. Si Teleperformance din ang unang BPO company ko tapos 2nd company ko is si Accenture ss Cubao. Then may three BPO's pa and right now Im with my 6th BPO here in 🇲🇾 pero Im grateful kasi ang BPO ang nakapag push sa akin para makapasa din sa Board Exam for Teachers (LET). Next year Im transitioning na sa Teaching sa 🇹🇭. Pero I'd say na with it panoorin itong episode mo now coz I've learned a lot from your story. Halos may similarities din ang career path natin. Actually di nko nakakanood ng vlogs mo recently coz sobrang busy sa work, pero sige panoorin na ulit kita, haha 😂 All the best sayo mi, cheers! Ang talino mo noh? Ako din kasi nag working student nung college, fast food + call center hanggang maka graduate kaso hindi ko na achieve makapag BSA at mas lalo na maging CPA. Bukod sa ubos yung oras ko sa trabaho, napagod ang katawang lupa ko. Na disappoint din ako kasi parang walang akong natutupad, puro pagod lang. Ganun…ang tingin ko tuloy isa akong frustrated na tao. May isa pa akong pangarap talaga. Itong isa na ‘to sana lang matupad ko at may marating pa ko sa buhay. Like, sana hindi pa huli ang lahat sa akin kasi hello, 32 na me 😢😅

Nakakaiyak yung video mo na ito. Katulad mo isa din ako accountant at Sobrang hirap ng work kasi demanding. Ok din ang sahod ko pero di ako kasing tapang mo na tumalon sa bagay na makakapagpasaya sa iyo lalo na meron ako dalawang anak na mau special needs. Marvin makaka asa ka sa support ko na lagi manonood sa mga travels mo. Salamat dahil kahit nanonood lang ako, feeling ko nakapunta na din ako sa mga lugar ng vlogs mo.
