Thanks for taking the time to share! I liked your honest admission about the bears and mountain lions being on your mind. Any tips for a bear bag hang? Are there enough trees? I'm headed out there tonight!

Thanks man! This trip was amazing, and I'm looking at an off route North Rim adventure in the spring of 2023, should be fun.
@MoutainGuyAdventures Жыл бұрын
@@WalkthePlanets Awesome. North Rim is great. It’s the better side. I did sort of an off route on the South Bass last Spring (south side), where I ended up backpacking out in snow.

Last month saw a Western DB curled up under the hose spigot. He wasn't aggressive. He just wanted to be left alone. *Edit* In Phoenix.

Where can i find rattlesnakes near Tucson?
@WalkthePlanets2 жыл бұрын
I have seen them in many different areas throughout the Catalina Mountains, they are most active through Monsoon season which is pretty much coming to an end now. Sabino canyon is where I have witnessed the most of them. They are also at Reddington Pass, Tanque Verde, and anywhere where there are hot grasses and a touch of water nearby.

@davidkellogg25822 жыл бұрын
Very odd. People don't usually go hiking around in the dark.
@WalkthePlanets2 жыл бұрын
That is because they are less comfortable at night. This also leads to more animals being out as there are less people. Wonderful time to explore terrain you already know with plenty of lighting available. The only thing odd is our modern world and it's disconnection to the cycles of nature <3 Thanks for watching
