Thankyou so much! This was fantastically helpful :) I recently upgraded the OS SSD and RAM in my laptop, and it booted with no issues. It also had a faulty battery and when I changed this out. Suddenly it came up with the no boot device issue, along with fault light codes indicating a dead CMOS battery. Cue lots of confusing, swapping out to the old battery, checking connections. And it turns out that setting to UEFI boot solved it. I have no idea why, but I'm so glad I haven't broken my laptop!

Its just because I mainly see alot of people advise to stay away from this model due to the CPU overheating but the deal is too good to pass that if an undervolt is available then I think it will work out fine. Gonna be getting it this weekend, do I need to update anything before I even follow your instructions?
