For now im making use of cycle 0ads becaise of the kind of license platei have bit in future im thinking about riding on car roads...but not highwaus because the scooter will go at max 45km p/h. Hello! Sorry for the delay, as I did not see your comments! I have a Garmin Zumo XT2 gps, which has options for different avoidances, including highways! I’ll be doing a video soon, where I talk about the gps and some of the mods I have done to make it work for me! Thanks for watching and the kind words!

Your Vespa tires will last longer as long as you check your tire pressure regularly. I check my tires every time I go out for a ride. I ride a 2021 Vespa 300 and my rear tire was changed at 9,500 miles. I use Michelin City Grip 2's. My front tire is very close to being changed out and is currently at 18,500 miles. The longevity may also be a direct result of riding on straight flat roads in Florida.🤣
@WanderOnTwoWheels5 ай бұрын
I bought a TPSM kit for my tires, which has been great at helping me keep an eye on tire pressure, so you may have a key point! I am checking them pretty consistently. So far the Pirelli Angels they put on feel fine. I’m just hoping they have a similar durability to the prior City Grips! Haha, yeah lots of straight flat roads out there, but also better riding weather longer! Cheers!

I carry around a Fanttik portable air inflator. VERY easy way to check your pressure. Costco currently selling S100.

How quickly does the Vespa go through tires and is regular maintenance very expensive? Ideally I'd love to get one but I also like the Royal Alloy. I'm torn, but based on the initial cost I'm leaning towards the Royal Alloy. 🛵

Hi there! Great questions! I had Michelin City Grips on the bike when I bought it in May of 2022. They still looked and felt pretty good when I had them replaced in February with almost 11,000 miles on them! Unfortunately they did not have the City Grips, so I now have the Pirelli Angels on there. I’ll see how long they last. As for maintenance, it is hard to find places local to Rhode Island, so I have been trying to learn what I can. I can do oil and filter changes myself now, but actually found a place in New Hampshire that came to pick up the bike in February for its 10,000 mile service, which was pretty pricy. My goal for this year is to learn more maintenance, because it really is the only annoying thing about owning a Vespa. I hope that was helpful! Happy shopping, and have fun with whatever you decide to get!!
@vanmandad5 ай бұрын
Thanks, and yes that was very helpful. I just don't see the need to use a car (unless the weather is bad) with only one person in it - me. I'm also considering the Honda Supercub because of the retro look. And the price, of course!
@WanderOnTwoWheels5 ай бұрын
@@vanmandad yeah I only use my car when the weather is bad, or I have to do some shopping that can’t fit on my Vespa! The Super Cub looks pretty cool, too! And there seem to be more Honda dealers around.
