🇰🇭This is highly influenced from Cambodian apsara dancing that has been performed since the 12th century during the Angkor era 🇰🇭 Khmer Empire Influence: During the height of the Khmer Empire (9th-15th centuries), parts of what is now Thailand, particularly in the central and northeastern regions, were under Khmer rule or cultural influence. This is evident in architectural styles, such as the Khmer-style temples (e.g., Phimai and Phanom Rung), and in early Thai art and iconography.

Cambodian music and culture are also beautiful. Thai, Lao, Lanna, Cambodian and Ligor (Southern Thailand) all have a common culture, but each maintains its identity and develops further in its own beautiful corner. For example, one thing that traditional cambodian music differs from Thai, Lao and Lanna, including ligor, is the music of the Khmer people. It is much more delicate. If you listen to it well, Cambodian music has a lot of accompaniment. While Laos has a fun melody As for Thailand, which is a culture that sometimes clashes with the people of Cambodia. developed to the point where the song had a clear melody Which is different from other parts.

I'm happy to meet Cambodian people who are not nationalistic and try to argue with Thai people. I'm tired too Thai people look down on Cambodians. Because I look at Cambodians I am a older brother country and I am deeply concerned about the people of Cambodia and their political situation. Thank you

The original dance of royal palace. In case people are curious the difference between Thai royal dance and Cambodian royal dance, well they aint really different. They're 99% the same and this is because Thai people taught Thai cultures to Cambodian people. Many Cambodian kinds and royalties were educated in Thailand. As a result, they brought back Thai cultures to Cambodia. One of the Cambodian kings who was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to learn from Siam was king Sisowath of Cambodia.

Actually the other way around. Khmers inspired Siams for a 1000 years in history. Apsara dance was created during Angkorian times. The way Thais dance is the old way khmer use to dance. We have evolved from this old style to something that is uniquely khmer. And Khmers taught Khmers how to dance like that. Not Siam.

@@babyhummingbird111 Angkor wat that was built by Indian Khom Varman who came from Phimai, Thailand today. Thats jow civilization worked. It originally came from India to Thailand then to Cambodia. Whatever Khmers have, Thai have it before. Lets not skip the history class that since the fall of Angkor wat when Khmer slaves rebelled and kill Khom Varman rulers, the Varmans fled to Lavo to establish Ayutthaya and came back to kill Khmer rebels. Thats why Angkor wat was abandoned and Khmers never had this aspara dance. Cambodia today was even a vessel of Thailand until Thailand gave a piece of Thailand to French, which later became Cambodia. Thats how Thai people taught all cultures to Cambodian people today. In addition, Cambodian people cant dance as elegant as this. They are still students of Thai people. So dont be disrespectful to your teachers 🥰

@@iROChakri we don’t recognize teachers who can’t even dance khmer-style properly. I’m sorry but the Thai dances are too primitive. Some dances are just people jumping around with gestures that are all over the place. There no proof of foundation/professionalism . With exception of Khon dances that was influenced by Khmer dance, what does Thai dance of the modern era have to offer? The present Thai dances are poorly choreographed and lack purpose and story telling. Some dances are Chinese style, some dance look Indonesian, some borderline ballet-like. This happens because a culture doesn’t have a proper cultural foundation and identity and the culture relies heavily on inspiration from other major cultures. No thank you to your assumptions that Khmers were influenced by Thai it doesn’t seem that way at all. If I give Thais any credit that would be the ability to create something from inspiration source and then slap a “Thai” label on it and feed it to the world as Thainess. Blahhh have some self-respect please. You should respect Khmers because the land you live on currently is khmer ancestral land. Your ancestors were from southern China running from slavery. You took refuge under Khmer Empire. And this is how Khmers influenced Thai culture.
@babyhummingbird111
@babyhummingbird111 Жыл бұрын
@@iROChakri Have a read for fun okay Your ancestors are the Tai culture from Southern China. World REFRENCE- BRITANNICA- IT STATES- As the Tai moved south into mainland Southeast Asia, they also encountered the Khmer of Cambodia. Between the 9th and the 13th century, Khmer rulers expanded their domains from their capital at Angkor, establishing an empire that, at its height under Jayavarman VII (reigned 1181-c. 1220), extended over approximately half of modern Thailand. Whereas Mon kingdoms were predominantly Buddhist in character, Khmer civilization-which found its supreme expression in the great temple complex at Angkor-was heavily influenced by Hindu ideas and practices. The Tai borrowed from the Khmer many elements of Indianized culture, including royal ceremonies, customs followed at the court, and especially the Indian epic Ramayana, which influenced not only literature but also classical dance. Even in modern Thai culture the legacy of the Indianized culture of Angkor is still evident. I encourage you to show me references that states that Khmers were influenced by Siam anywhere in history. Please go ahead and entertain me😉. And none of the hear-say bullshit history created by Thailand please.
