How do you see the reliability vs a Mahlkonig or Mazzer? Also some other videos commenters have expressed concerns around being able to handle volume (vs having 3 separate grinders), do you find the workflow to be fairly easy?

Just brewed an Acacia Hills Gesha with this method and It didn't yield a more enjoyable cup than grinding my usual size for V60 18g to 300g I brewed this morning with a Samo bloom (60C) and 86C pour. Not even close. Might try again with a finer grind. Using 1ZPresso ZP6 at 10 clicks for the recipe. Dunnow if It's even possible to go finer, but will try on my Kingrinder K6 next on a setting between espresso and moka pot. My favorite light roast AP recipe is non-inverted 13g to 200g @ V60 grind (37 clicks on ZP6/ 77 clicks on K6), 88C, bloom 50g 30s with same style stir for a few seconds, complete to 200g, put plunger on, pull slightly to prevent dripping, plunge slowly from 1:30, enjoy!

Sounds like your hot water tap is not quite hot enough? You'll need to adjust the mixture of hot and cold water coming through the tap, this is done by finding a small metal screw underneath the machine on the far left side and turning it anticlockwise to add heat.

Something like this is neat. I can think of multiple different places where it would be applicable. I live in a small town and am surrounded by many other small towns. Many of the places to get a latte fall more into the second wave realm of things but you take what you can get when you are out, and the consistency is lacking. In that case, something like this would help at least get a similar drink with each visit. Another case, we have a few cafes that are run on donations and by volunteers in my region. Good locally roasted coffee, great atmosphere and even better people. That said, because of the fact that the workers are volunteers there is a fairly high turnover rate or people simply don't get practice due to only being there a few times a month. So, something like this could help improve the coffee experience in that case, I feel. Not everywhere is lucky enough to be rich in cafes filled with baristas who are also hobbyists. I can nerd out at home, when out, I still want a decent coffee and anything that can help is welcome. Anyway, I thought this was something else when I clicked the video, but it was a fun watch anyway.

Thanks for the feedback! We agree with what the target market is for this technology, raising the average quality of coffee at potentially lower quality coffee shops

Is automation a good thing in the coffee industry? The counterpoint is that it will slowly erode the craft of coffee and ultimately drive baristas to unemployment. Many people who enjoy coffee (myself included) enjoy the manual process of coffee as exemplified by lever machines, manual grinders, and the craft of steaming milk. I wouldn’t be surprised if the people who embrace third wave coffee would not be impressed by a cafe in which everything was automated by Eversys machines like Starbucks.
