Why do so many people fuss over the way you hold the guitar or how you look down on the fretboard when the man himself does it and does it well 💯🤘🎸🎧😎

His hands look enormous against that guitar. How he managed to be so precise will be studied forever.

Some of those up strokes on the right hand when he strummed sounded like a slide player in its intensity. Then transitioning back to single string picking with absolute accuracy and without missing a beat. Wow!

THank you a million times SRV, I hope newcomers to blues can understand better now having had a chance to hear and see blues played on acoustic, like it was invented on. Very instructive it was and of course SRV you nailed it. R.i.P. Stevie

The song at .1 is lenny the name of his first wife!!?? Not really difficult. And it is being played on a Fender Strat NOT a 1959 Gibson as the click bait eludes.

When someone dismisses the talent of SRV by saying "the blues is an easy style to play", it makes me realize that 1) they haven't listened to enough of his recordings, and 2) they don't know anything about using a musical instrument to convey human emotions. The list of rock, jazz, and blues guitarists I have seen perform would make your jaw drop and your head spin, and I can tell you for certain that Stevie Ray Vaughan was an immensely talented and very special musician.

My dad balled his eyes out the day SRV passed, I was too young to get it then. Forty years of listening to him and somewhere along the way I got it and found my own eyes welling with tears hearing SRV on the right day in a fitting atmosphere. The emotion that guy could pull from his instruments and his vocals (that he found so much insecurity in despite general acclaim) is something that has become more and more rare as mbas continue to rob creatives of free expression.
