Interesting, at least. I'm also working on designs using spiral springs, there's a lot of potential.
@KiwifoxCulture_Mechanical7 күн бұрын
I can't agree with you anymore. I think 3DP is suitable for planar flexible part like the spiral spring. It is easy to adjust parameters of the model to fit my need. I am not good at flexible mechanisms, so I think someone knows how to design is really smart.🥰

This is such a sophisticated mechanism. I am trying to understand where the actuator is coming from and how? I'm halfway seeing how this works in tiles. Amazing effort tnx for this
@KiwifoxCulture_Mechanical7 ай бұрын
In this demo, I use 2 internal gear to drive 4 tiles for simplifying the structure. In reference1 I list, the Disney designer is standing on the platform and the part of the platform can turn to differnet direction separately. I think the designer may use "gear train" or "worm-gear module" to drive several Holo Tile modules. However, it's still hard to achieve it in such compact space. I wish I can figure out how Holo Tiles work after Disney roll out it. Thanks for your comment!🦊
