me, who has not run for a few years due to glass knees, deeply engrossed in the technique and about to search for more instruction on running with poles

I normally run in Asics Trabuco, will I just go with the same size?. Where abouts are those trails you are running in?.

I've used a pole while hiking and it use more energy to my arms, and I hate it😂coz m getting more tired...now I'm going to do trail running that included river crossings more than 2km at waist levels..and I think m going to need to use the pole. Can you teach me how to use the poles in the river without a burden to my arms...tq

Being a newcomer to poles, one thing I'm curious about is how much pressure or force do you exert when you push down on the poles? Seems to me there's a wide range you can apply and I've really no idea how much to use.
