The last minute attack at the end was fiction. It never happened. The "Dr. Robotnik"-general didn't exist in reality. But something similar was planned by the German navy. They wanted to attack the British sea blockade as a kind of last hurrah, despite everybody knew, that it was suicide. That made the sailors start a revolution, the Kaiser had to step down from the throne and the Weimar Republic was born. I didn't watch the movie. I only saw reactions and reviews and clips of it. It seems to be a very good and very effective movie...BUT: I didn't like some changes of the original story. I really didn't like the way Kat died in the new version and the end of the movie was much more effective in the original story. Too bad, that they ignored the boot-camp/Himmelstoß-episode of the book and the older movies completely. They added some good new stuff, like the beginning with Heinrich...but they ignored and deleted to much very good stuff of the original story. Too bad. If they would have made that movie closer to the original story and add new stuff like the Heinrich episode, this movie could have been even ten times better.

To the point of it being a challenging voice because of it focusing on the enemy - I think that's why this movie was so particularly affective for me. Instead of portraying anyone as the enemy, it really shows how everyone was innocent young men just following orders trying to get back home alive to their families. The same as the "good guys". Just a bunch of innocent men fighting a bureaucrat's war.

It feels to me like Ryan enjoys being a contrarian from the way he smirks after every negative point he raises.

I think how the predator looks and the tech it uses has to do with their code of honor. They hunt almost to a Fair advantage kind of, we have this advanced tech but you don’t so we will accommodate to make it not to unfair

Horror film? Never saw it that way but I understand the reaction. Are you aware of a SAC operation called Chrome Dome? Loaded B-52s were flying 24x7 when this film was made. Having first watched this film long before you guys were born it's interesting, and kinda scary, how much of it you find current. The thing that kills me is nobody ever gets the bit that General Ripper is talking about infertility. Sapping our precious bodily fluids and denying woman the purity of his essence. How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb: one message in this film is that the people at the trigger are the same people ya meet, capable of the same failures and not a thing ya can do about it except hope for the best and keep a song in your heart. It will all work out or it won't.

There was only one shot that used CGI with a puppet. It was the scene were the guard gets killed by the T1000 pretending to be him. They used a puppet arm, and extended the finger with CGI for when it impales him through the eye. Every other shot was either almost 100% puppet, or 100% CGI, with several shots of animatronics attached to Robert Patrick. One of these was an animatronic arm that breaks apart after the T1000 is frozen. Just prior to this, is were the T1000's legs break apart. This was achieved by having a guy with no legs having fake ones attached onto his knee stumps, then collapse apart. When it cuts to Robert Patrick, his legs are hidden under a false floor. When the T1000 is blown open at the end of the film, that was a full puppet, and operated by about eight guys working it from underneath the floor. There was actually three puppets made for this one scene alone. The first was used for when it was blown open, the second was the close-up of it moving around, and the third was for when it falls into the molten steel. This film is iconic. Happy 30th anniversary to the legendary Terminator 2.

Most people dont realize Superman was filmed and intended to be Superman THE MOVIE PART 1 & Superman The Movie PART 2. It is a 4 hour film cut in half. S2 (Donner cut)is not really a sequel but literally just a continuation of STM. I recently made a fan edit that restored the movie to its 4 hour run time and if u watch it like that rhis thing is a masterpiece. I hope the studio gets smart one day and puts it out as a 4 hour chris Reeve Superman Epic. The public deserves to see it as originally intended Oh and just for the record.... Otis is ther for comedic relief but when the film wants to get serious it gets serious. I love dark films but Id much rather have one silly character than have everyone in the film constantly making silly jokes during what is supposedly an epic battle like most modern marvel films. Not hatin, just sayin.

the fact its a musical is literally making fun of disney films from that last decade that had passed when this film began production in 1998 aka from mermaid in the late 80's through late 90's with mulan....like satan's song up there lol..it literally is a trope gag song making fun of the villain song you get in every disney film....so they make satan seem like the good guy victim

i hate when people get mad at superhero/fantasy stories with powers for saying if you don't have powers your not special and are not that important like in star wars or incredibles...its true...and thats ok..those stories are about powers lol...and usually non powerful people or blood relatives do make a difference...sometimes you are a late bloomer/never get the power and still can save the day.....heck in power rangers the final battle usually has the rangers lose their suits and have to fight without the power and show they can kick ass on their own through will alone cause they are fighting for justice...it goes both ways...

one of my personal all time fave films..it hits all the right beats for me....I don't know..it leaves me with a warm feeling...this is what cinema should be...it does not feel watered down or changed like some other kids films from the original vision...its very much for older kids to enjoy not to sell toys to young kids like nemo monsters inc toy story bug's life and cars were made to do...theres something earnest about this film starring a semi ok looking rat not some cute animal they can market to kids...i am so glad its a rat...you can tell this film was a passion project not some marketing tool...i always enjoy when media allows for creativity without interference..if the animal was a cute I don't know bird or whatever it would lose its likeability imo... I like that it stars a filthy rat making the humans reaction to it make more sense for why it can't be a cook in a kitchen cause rats are gross...makes the film work...a change like that to market a cuter animal ruins the film
