Before this, I had virgin hair. You dyed it brown & you want to go blonde? When I used to dye my hair permanent colours, I would use "Color Oops" which smells like farts but it takes the colour of the brown out, not fully. You could also do a bleach bath. Use 10 volume developer, bleach powder & shampoo to make it less strong. This should help strip the hair colour with less damage. You would use 1 part bleach & 2 parts developer & leave on for like 30 mins. Having the colour stripped would be a better base colour to start with than the brown you have if you use this boxed dye. This dye really lightens up so, dye the rest of your hair first and then use it on your roots last. Doing the roots first will make them super bright and your hair wont blend well. I hope this helps & makes sense.

I have very thin hair so I was able to get away with only one tub and I still have some leftover. If you have thicker and longer hair, get two to be safe.

You can totally use something purple or blue right away. It depends on the product you use. Some purple shampoos will definitely change the colours in a bad way (green/blue). I've done it before and it ruined my progress. I use a violet semi permanent dye with conditioner. It has both purple/blue colours to colour correct the blonde in this box. I put it on immediately after and it turns out perfect. Try using that rather than using a shampoo or another dye/traditional toner that can harm your hair.

@@caseyl.1684 I use punky colour semi permanent hair dye in the colour violet. I use a pinch of the colour and a bunch of conditioner and I leave it on to "tone". It is the perfect colour to make your blonde closer to an ash blonde.

The toner is not in the box. I use a combination of a purple hair dye (Punky Colour in Violet) & conditioner to tone it.

See my comment above yours on how you have to go about toning it later The purple conditioner was fine for her but VERY porus hair, it’s a BIG mistake!!

I took the green out after a week for work. I don't have a review for how it fades but it was very difficult to take out. My hair ended up being a pastel green (which was gorgeous).

All green hair dyes by lunar tides last a long time and rarely fades after a long time hot water and all etc

I didn't let the green fade. I took it out after a week for work. When I was taking it out it was super difficult getting all the green out. It's definitely super potent and seems like it'll last long in your blonde. The purple faded into a pink and slowly came out. I washed my hair everyday to purposefully fade it.

Hi! I am well aware it is a conditioning dye. I have been using Punky Colour for 21 years. I used conditioner to not have the colour fully pigmented. I needed it to fade quickly before I went back to work two weeks from the initial dye day, which I found this process to be the best for me. Thank you for looking out.

Thanks love, it lasts pretty long. I had to wash my hair everyday for two and a half weeks for it to fade. When it finally faded it turned into a super cute pink/purple. You can see the pictures on my Instagram:hellokiiwi. You can also see more photos in my Instagram highlights.

I use two things. For something that lasts longer, I use a semi-permanent hair dye called Punky Colour in Violet and mix it with a lot of conditioner. For a quick touch up I use Punky Colour "Get The Yellow Out" Shampoo. I leave them in for 15-30 mins depending on how yellow my hair gets.
