This is a good one for women on public transportation… And I’ve seen a creep touch a woman he didn’t know leg on the train…

I'm not (yet) a Krav Maga student, but one of the things you taught without necessarily saying so is this: Once you block, control the opponent. Keep said opponent under YOUR control, in the space YOU decide. Other marrial arts teach this, but somehow what you demonstrated showed it in a way I don't think I'd ever understood before.

Always ask people to like, subscribe and comment. That will give you a boost with KZbin. I've only seen a few of your videos, but they are well presented with clear explanations.

Good info! Because of the tight space in coach, would an elbow to the head also be a good choice?
@kmxbox Жыл бұрын
Yes. Elbows and hammer fists are connected the same way knee strikes and kids are connected. Distance is the issue. If you are close enough an elbow works but if you are slightly farther away you extend that arm in to a hammer fist.

Hey Kevin, love the content! What also helps videos get lots of views is making a really good thumbnail to grab potential viewers attention. There are plenty of videos on KZbin on how to make a really good thumbnail. That alone will grow the channel tremendously, especially since you already have over 6,000 subscribers! Keep up the great work! I have to stop in again soon and train with you guys! 🙏
@JuneTheQueen18 Жыл бұрын
That is a really good point as thumbnails are the first thing most people see. Thanks so much for this recommendation I think it's gonna really help!
@JoshBevAdventures Жыл бұрын
@@JuneTheQueen18 Exactly! The thumbnail grabs your attention. Then you'll get more views, and then the algorithm will show it to more people! No problem! Im glad i could help ☺️

You want advanced punching defense? Go learn boxing lol. The counter to the straight right is the jab. Nothing fancy.

im practicing the hand flares tomorrow ,have been shown to reinforce the the index finger with the thumb to strengthen the whole hand and have maximum reach and lead the parry with the elbow (it just make sense to me personally to think im moving the elbow ,it gets in place better)

Thanks for sharing. What if a attacker attacks you with a knife while you are on the ground very fast. I saw documentary that most attacker attacks really quick they don’t hold the knife they continue attacking. One incident attacker attacks 40 time in a matter of 45 seconds. I just want to learn how to defend in that situation if you can demonstrate that would be great. Thank you

Peoble from wing chung do this. I've never seen it working in sparring. The power doesn't get through. Partners are rarely hit effectively. In an emergency, I would not use this technique.

I didn't really think through this before. I am certain that mindset is the biggest factor for me to deal with in self defense. THANKS.

Excellent concept to be aware of. The few street fights I have witnessed ended in a broken thumb or pinky finger from punching to the face/head. I would like to hear your thoughts on that subject.

Thanks. I see follow up punches to the head. I have seen only a few fights but the ones I did see ended in a broken thumb or pinky. Is that a concern? Should the hand strikes be palm? All the demonstrations of the kick brought the foot back other than the ones done when speaking directly about the need to land forward. Will the large number of kicks brought back influence what happens under real life situations?

Wing chun, Aikido and Krav Maga...are all the most delusional people in all of martial arts. All never seen in a real fight...because "It's too dangerous for any competition." Well...any tom, dick or harry can make that claim. "I have developed the best martial arts style." "Show us" "Can't. Too deadly."

This is how I best remember Alan. During my time there in the late 80s to early 90s. I wasn't a student per se. I was an outside Blackbelt fighter and friend of his. I'd come in and spar and even taught a class for him on occasion. We fell out of contact over the years. My heart sank when I just found out he had passed away.
