If one chooses not to use the wireless feature what cable is needed to connect the monitor to Komodo X? Thank you
@MitchellTucknessКүн бұрын
My first time seeing one of your reviews. So, obviously, is obviously spoken WAY too much in the review, so obviously, stop using it. Obviously, I used it too much to demonstrate a point, but you were not proving a point. This and the frequent hesitations gave the review a disjointed aspect with the spoken portion to the excellent video quality. The intro was too long. I wasn't sure if I was watching an intro, a parody or some video unrelated to the title subject matter. Which caused me to skip ahead trying to get to actual subject matter.

Why compare the pavotubes to the pixel tubes instead of the comparable T4C? (Yours was the PT4C?)
@animusvisual7 күн бұрын
I disagree. The t4cs do not have an internal battery and need to have a battery screwed on and plugged in. These are more in line with Pavos Imo

What do you think of the Kupo backlight base stand for $28.95 ? Who makes stronger base stand ? Nanlite amaran astera godox aputure ? The amaran base stand that comes with the pt4c is not too bad
@animusvisual9 күн бұрын
good questions. Kupo makes great stuff and this looks solid but may have a bit of tilt since the spigot is higher up than say a mini tripod. I broke my first amaran mini tripod and got a replacement from amaran that was better. The ronin mini tripods too are built really well.

@@animusvisual Kupo Universal Floor Stand, 5", Black looks like the spigot is lower but is expensive at $71.95 ? is the spigot lower ?
@animusvisual9 күн бұрын
@creativegreatsvisuals you'd have to add a spigot to that anyway so save your money. the ronin tripod grip will work. The only thing is the threads on the tube are 3/8 inch and the ronin tripod grip are 1/4 so you need to have the adapters. I believe the tube came with them. You can leave it inserted in the 3/8 thread of the tube

With amaran pt4c What do you think about the rainbow effect in camera ? I can’t see the rainbow? It looks one solid color and set on low
@animusvisual9 күн бұрын
Thats going to be on the exposure. Make sure you have the light at the lowest setting but more importantly make sure your camera isnt on auto because likely it will overexpose the light. The environment is in will make a difference on how you expose the shot. Likely need to expose darker to see the effect in camera but need more light in your environment to make up.

@animusvisual9 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching. Honestly havent even noticed the fan on but maybe i havent ran it on long enough. Id imagine it may only become a bigger issue outside with high brightness but likely outside will drown out that audio.

Can you do a test with the Aivascope 1.75 anamorphic adaptor using a Sony 70-200mm f2.8 ii GM as the taking lens? Will that even work with the Sony being 77mm threads? Aivascope's site says the sweet spot is 50mm to 90mm on Full Frame sensors but I'm curious what it looks like in the 135mm-200mm range regardless of the manufacturers recommendation...

After connecting my Sony A7 iv to the Portkeys LH5P II via WiFi it did not show the image coming from my camera. The menu looks completely different from everyone else’s online too. I’m super confused. This is my second monitor because I returned the first one thinking it was defective. But now the second one is having the same issues. Now it does display the image connected via HDMI but again the menu doesn’t look like it should. It still has all the settings like record, shutter, ISO etc. but I can’t swipe right, left, up or down. I can’t find anyone with the same issues online and I’m really confused. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bro I just bought the monitor and I’m having the exact same problem, have you figured it out?? I’m about to just return this
@ShawnBustamante4 ай бұрын
@@sadouslife So I contacted Portkeys and they told me that I have a new model with a new operating system and eventually all of the monitors will have the same operating system. They sent me a link for the latest firmware update and told me to install it. They also sent me instructions on how to pair my Sony with the monitor and they said if I was still having trouble getting an image to contact them again. This was yesterday when they wrote me back. I am about to try all the steps they suggested, and I will let you know if it worked.
@sadouslife4 ай бұрын
@@ShawnBustamante bro I finally figured it out, you have to connect it via smartphone on the camera. So go to smart phone connection on the camera and then click connection then when it has the QR code on it switch it to password. Then you go to the monitor, go to wifi, and put in that password. It disconnects each time the camera is turned off but then from that point it’s as simple as going to the wifi part of the monitor and just clicking connect to device and choose your camera
@ShawnBustamante4 ай бұрын
@@sadouslife Right right, cool I get that but my issue was not getting an image after I connected through WIFI. I reached out to another KZbinr who responded and told me that you need the HDMI cable to transmit the video and audio signal. He said that the WIFI connection was only to control the camera settings. This is my first monitor. Before this I was using my phone and the Monitor+ app and you could monitor the image and control camera settings over WIFI. I'm just curios why this one doesn't. But let me know if you knew this or found a solution. Either way I appreciate the feedback.
@animusvisual4 ай бұрын
Sorry I hadn't seen this guys. yes cable still needed for actual image/audio transmission. The wireless is just sending control commands through wifi. If you need truly wireless video monitoring youd need a transmitter/ receiver but its mostly used on monitors off camera. The only monitor that has wireless video built in that I know is the hollyland mars m1 and even then you still need to send the signal to a transmitter and the receiver is built in to the monitor.
