Undercoating is worthless. Oiling with anti rust fluid is the only thing that will help. never buy undercoating.

If its a rubberized coating it will cause rust by trapping moisture but an oil based one like Fluid Film or Rust Check will never hurt it. Been spraying cars for 20 years and it works ive got a rust free 2003 cavalier to prove it.

Yup just lock all that moisture in there, speeds up degradation by 10x. Stuff only works when the frame is brand new, you’re better off not using anything at all beyond that point. Or like other ppl suggested use something oil based if you really wanted…

I've been using fluid film (lanolin) for 20 years. It's kept my vehicles completely rust free. Two rattle cans does the underside of one truck for about 30 bucks.

man you might think that protecting yourself aint worth it but i used to do undercoating and cavity wax at a korean car dealer and that shit had me mind-boggled by lunch some days. wish i had the sense to wear a mask from day one but i was too cool...

I heard they are supposed to leave them on other jeeps if they like them but people mostly just buy them for themself. It is ridiculous but it's better than identity politics I guess. Whatever makes them happy.

I have NOT put a part on my jeep TJ that didn't need some sort of alteration of some kind mating up with a stock Jeep let alone with another aftermarket Co. Your parts are no different... NOTHING IS A PERFECT FIT WHEN IT COMES TO AFTERMARKET!!!

Bottle jack rules! Hi-Lift is good for "winching" (e.g. backwards) or for taking a tire off the bead, but those are both very rare events. I've seen the handle of a Hi-Lift be used to fix problems too. But for me, generally speaking a Hi-Lift is too big and too heavy to warrant carrying.
