That’s is absolutely the wrong way . Only right way is thumb on the spool when you hook a fish

I agree 100% with what he says about this knot. It has literally never failed me in over 20 years of fishing. Ive never lost a hook, bait, spinner, fish or anything because of a bad knot since I started using this exact knot =) The line wouldve snapped or the hook break apart long before this knot would become untied =)

Frank, blast from the past! When I was a kid (12/13 yrs old) he would Captain So Cal, Longfin or Helena outta Newport Landing I forgot which one..... and he would let me pinhead all the time. Corby and T would sponsor me in the JP and every now and then I'd come through for 'em and give them the $$. Old school there. Class act message for a class act guy. Very grateful for him!
