It’s absolutely irritating when people display their hypocrisy regarding their beliefs in god. They claim all things are possible with god but the moment they become seriously ill they rush to a hospital where Science is employed to make them better, instead to a church or simply praying away their illness. What a load of nonsense from people who just can’t be true to themselves.

Everyone always asks whether god exists, but they never ask why does Religion exist, even if there was a god, why do we have religion for them? Scientists don't worship the big bang despite believing it created the universe. Religion was created by the nation state to allow for widespread education, back then having a well educated population who would understand politics and science just wasn't of interest to a monarchy who wanted their population too stupid to rebel. But you did want your people docile and non violent, and most importantly subservient with no reward. By promising your subjects a great afterlife so long as they obey'd the rules and worked themselves to death with no issues, you could get all the economic efficiency with none of the cost, while their corpse rotted in the dirt with no reward. Bonus points if you as King were 'chosen by God' giving more authority to your rule. Religion was propoganda, education, media, law and domestic policy all centralised into a third party corporation letting the Monarchy focus on geopolitical and economical goals without the annoyance of critisism.
