A real one landed in my back yard years ago, due to a bird hit the cowling...flew back to Ft.Bragg, but gave me their squadron pin..a dragon holding arrows in its claws..❤

My other half works in a metal building, and when these go over, it shakes the building when they fly that low and with such a thundering noise. 😂

Actually, the Navy’s CH-53 Super Stallion does beat the Chinook. The Chinook has a max payload of 24,000lbs and a maximum takeoff weight of 50,000lbs. The CH-53 has a maximum takeoff weight of 73,500lbs and a maximum payload of 40,000lbs. I had ridden in countless CH-53’s while in US Naval Special Warfare. SEVEN BLADES on ONE ROTOR and two engines. The sound “cool factor” is off the charts.
