I'm a Wings fan ... this is hilarious. Lapointe can't claim that Belfour didn't warn him! Belfour gave Martin the love tap, Martin refused to move, so ............ WHACK!!!!!!!

Drake and Jackman, both born in Trail BC along with Deadmarsh and Ferraro. Fighting was as much of hockey as scoring in that area. Danny Gare was also a tough player, born in nearby Nelson.

I'll always remember watching this game. Gary Thorne was the Quentisential Hockey announcer. Yzerman flopping around after ripping that goal was pure magic!

NO KEN DANIELS, RATTLING OFF STATISTICS AND TRIVIA *WHILE THE PUCK IS IN PLAY* LIKE HE NOW DOES 20 TIMES PER GAME . While the puck is in play he'll talk about a player from the other team, what position the guy was drafted in 5 years ago and seriously that the guy is from Bakersfield. It happens 20 times per game. I love Mickey and Ozzie but now I gotta watch the other team's feed on Hulu.

Not a Wings fan, but this is the best snipe of all time. Nothing else comes close. Slapper from the blue line across the body perfectly placed top corner. It's the shot you dream about as a kid and try to pull off in practice. Still get goosebumps watching it.

Never will forget this, at O'Sheehans bar in Livonia MI with our big group and when Stevie scored our whole big table got flipped over, beers, smokes and all and we went crazy! Lol a priceless moment for Wings fans, who would have thought it would take the heartbreaking loss the the Avs and the hit on Drapes to wait one more dang year then to finally win it!!

what a run by irbe...he was just as unconventional as hasek was in the way he played...that helmet and the equipment he used ..and being a small stature..great goalie ...he had good years with the upstart sharks too:)

My favorite goal scored. I'm not a red wings fan by any means, i just love how he scored it. I use to always try to recreate this goal when i played when i was a kid, however i was a left hand shot. took me 3 years of trying but i did plug one very similar to Stevie Y. I celebrated a bit too hard for a mid game goal, but was more happy i was able to score the same way Steve did in Double OT.

Quite possibly the greatest NHL team ever assembled. Scott in the wheelhouse, all-star roster. You knew at the trade deadline the Wings were going to play for the cup that year.

One of the greatest and most beautiful Red Wing goals of all time imo. Vision and poise by (one of) the greatest defensemen to play the game, precision and awareness by one of the most underrated centers and pure skill and killer instinct from one of the most magical ones. I love we are getting back to form but man, did we have it good for a long time blessed with several legends.

One of the unspoken greatest moments in NHL history. A serial goalie running piece of shit receives retribution. And the announcers and Wings fans act like they have no idea why Noodles would do this as if it wasn't in response to the Wings running over Kiprusoff over and over throughout the series. Yes, upstanding character Jamie McLennan all of a sudden became a cheap shot artist overnight. Great reasoning.

The glory days of hockey def alot of dirty moments but over all a way more passionate game back then.
@PJM4543 ай бұрын
Yzerman was a great hockey play but that hit was not dirty and the only reason he got hurt on it is because he tried to duct out of it. Detroit looked like a bunch of idiot, whinny dumbass bitches for retaliating on that hit.

I don’t understand why keczmer didn’t just go up to kocur or Mac and say if we go it’s over right?lets get it over with. Instead he let him and his teammates get chased around all night gettin popped.
