The problem with this is - your rode 2 is still overblowing the input as you tap it and then sends the overblown input into the zoom, then the zoom is just lowering the volume. Yes, it will be quite, but all the sound imperfections and artifacts from the initial input in the rode will still be there, just quiet. Just tested it out personally.
@itsgussyАй бұрын
@@santiagoriveropresenta the problem is that you’re leveling your mic by tapping on it, which is the incorrect way of doing so. My example is for visual purpose to see which mic corresponds to the appropriate channel. Tapping on the microphone will cause it to distort because it’s being directly impacted what you need to do is make sure that your mics are leveled on the Main mic in order for you not to have a hot input coming into the zoom or any audio recorder. You can always use a 32 bit float recorder to circumvent this as well and cleaning up the audio in post as you should be doing.

Thanks for this. Just wish i could mount the rode wireless go 2’s receiver directly on the Sony fx3 cold shoe (on the body, not the handle) and go directly into camera -especially when using a gimbal. Unfortunately, when the Rode wireless go 2’s receiver is mounted this way, close to the top of the Sony FX3 , you get a bad buzz. You can reduce it a bit using a coiled 3.5mm cable instead of the flat one that comes with the Rode, and also put ferrite rings on the cable, but i haven’t found anyone who has completely been able to eliminate the buzz. Spoke to Rode about it. You can play with the gain settings, use a longer cable (which flops around), etc., but I believe there is really no way to eliminate the buzz completely when the Rode wireless go 2’s receiver is mounted on top of the fx3 camera body, and going directly into the fx3 camera body’s 3.5mm input. The original Rode wireless go (mono) doesn’t have this problem. Happy the transmitters record internally!
@itsgussy2 ай бұрын
The buzz comes from a non shielded cable. There is one that I’ve had good results from, and I get no buzz at all amzn.to/3RKpAK4

what is the purpose of connecting the gimbal to the camera using their USB ports ?

It allows you to control the camera settings like, hit record on the gimbal to trigger the camera as well as all other settings the gimbal offers, when controlling the camera. Aperture, iso, shutter speed. If you’re camera is not compatible via the Bluetooth connection

The m3s does have a light on it, but that gimbal I see it only benefitting you if you’re doing vlog style content. Or major thing for me and Sony cameras is battery life on the gimbal for me. The new Weebill 3E I would recommend

If I will be recording a live jazz concert using the H6 and I wanted to sync audio in my footage, which set up will you suggest? My camcorder has bad audio, that’s why I am considering a H6 recorder. And like you, I hate doing the sync post video. I found your video that gave me a god idea. Do I need to invest in a good mic?
@itsgussy4 ай бұрын
Thanks. You mentioned your camera has bad audio. The zoom H6 is also a microphone, I’m not sure what camera you have but you can connect the H6 as a mic via the Line Out to your camera. Or if you’re going to connect to the audio mixer make sure you get a master out to record to the H6, then use a lave mic system to sync the audio to your camera
@fedejesusm4 ай бұрын
So the solution would be a combi of an H6 and a lav mic connected to my camcorder? With SD card in both or just the camcorder?

Been looking at this bag for quite sometime now, been using a 3 liter Hex Ranger ONI sling. I carry almost the same as you, except I use an Olympus EPM-1 and a PSP Vita, my question, is the bag ambidextrous? It doesn't seem like it based on the positioning of the shoulder pad area.

Thanks for checking it out. I get what you mean, sometimes it feels weird if we carry things in one shoulder until we switch sides, short answer, Yes, you can carry the bag on either shoulder. You just detached the strap from the bag and flip it. The bag has 3 quick release points. One Is the clip by the adjustment strap and the other 2 are at the end of each side of the strap
